Sizing Notes
Allbirds fit true to size for most customers. If you have wide feet or prefer a roomier fit to accommodate toe splay, we suggest sizing up. If you are in between sizes we recommend sizing up for all styles except for Tree Runner styles (size down for those).

Woman tree dasher
My shoes are extremely cushioned gives a super soft “landing” each time I put my foot down. I live in San Diego, Ca and they are a bit too hot for my feet right now. I bought them for my upcoming European trip in October. I’ll visit Germany, Denmark and Sweden and I am looking forward to see how they will keep up on tons of walking in cooler weather. I have not yet worn them while working in the classroom nor while I am coaching running….TBD. They run a bit small- I am a solid true size 6 (36 European) and I went up a half of size and could have gone a whole size up as well. I’m comparing them with my NOBULL shoes…and let’s see what shoe is my fave!
Eye opening
My friend had a pair of allbirds. I always loved the look of them but was a little put off by the price. Then I received an email about the “used shoes” and thought that would be a good opportunity for me to try them first before taking the plunge. Unfortunately they didn’t have any the fit the color/size I wanted so I decided to just go for it and get the ones I wanted. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made. These shoes are the most comfortable things I have ever put on my feet and are super light. I have not stopped talking about them and how everyone should try a pair. I’m definitely a fan for life. Sorry Nike and Adidas, I’ve always loved you and been loyal but these shoes are incredible.
Had higher hopes
I had high hopes for these. I didn't quite realize that they are really a slip on shoe with no ability to loosen the top laces. You can tighten things down a bit, but if you need a bit more wiggle room across the bridge of your foot, you are stuck. Also, I they don't breathe well for me. My feet were hot. They don't really hold up for a full day of intense wear. They are quite comfy at the beginning of the day, when its cooler, my feet aren't swollen from a day of walking, and the cushioning is fresh. As the day goes on, the cushioning is less effective, the shoe becomes tight (and you can't loosen the lacing), and my feet are sweaty. These may be great for a quick outing or run, but are not a good all day shoe for me.
Couldn’t be more comfortable!
First Allbirds in this style and I love them! I wear them to work every day and my feet are happy campers. I love the fit around the ankles and the grip of the tread on the bottom of the shoe. Highly recommended!
european summer
I wore these for 10 days in Italy. I walked about 80 miles and my feet only hurt the last day probably because I walked 80 miles. They need a serious cleaning. Updates to come how they wash
Not that great
This is my 5th pair of Allbirds, my first pair of an athletic sneaker. Comfy as always, but should have sized up a half size from my normal size to give extra room. I do admit they look a little clunky with the wide extended heel bed. Spent time walking around house with the idea of a possible return. Decided to venture outdoors for a walk and the soles make a loud squeaking sound when walking on sidewalk or road pavement. So loud that my walking partner commented too! Walked a few other times outdoors with same results. By this time too late to return, so I've put them in the back of my closet and will use them as golf shoes the next time I play.
Great walking shoes!
Love these shoes! I've tried several other brands for walking and all have caused my Morton's neuroma to flare up, resulting in excruciating pain within 1-4 miles of walking. (I generally take a 5 to 8 mile walk, 3 or 4 times per week). I usually wear an 8.5 and did size up to a 9 to be sure there was plenty of length. These shoes are a little wider in the toe box than others I've tried which I think helps not aggravate my neuroma. With these shoes, I can walk as far as I like and am pain-free. Recently, while on vacation, I walked over 25,000 steps in one day on mostly pavement and my feet felt great at the end of the day. Happy feet!
All I want to do is wear these shoes
Well, let me start by saying that I'm going to need more of these shoes. I bought them on a bit of an impulse, they looked cute and felt comfy and I thought they might work well for work - I didn't realize that I would never want to take them off! I wore them all day the very first day I had them, a day which included a three mile walk, three hours of teaching, and then cooking, cleaning, and running around with my kids. My feet felt great right away and I have received so many compliments on them! Even without the multitude of compliments on the shoes, I'd be planning the purchase of my next pair because of how much my feet love them!
Exceptional!!!
OMGOSH!! I have flat wide feet! Have tried every orthopedic shoes for walking over all these years as well as orthotics. Have right knee issues from weight training in my 30’s. Trying to get back into my long walks the last few months have been hard due to my feet and knee! Did my research 🧐 and made my way to birds!! Have been happy ever since I got them. I have a better gate walking, I walk heel down first, no aches, I am getting my confidence back more and more each day walking longer. My knee is also getting better and I believe I finally have the best walking shoe for me!! Thank you so much! I am a 9.5 and I sized up to a 10!
Possibly Not For Wide Feet
I bought these Tree Dashers for walking and going to the gym. They're great in the way that all All Birds shoes are great: they're well constructed, washable, they hold up, etc. I was so happy to see that these were available in half sizes! However, they're a bit tight width-wise and (weirdly) height-wise. I do have wide feet so I could have sized up, but the length of the shoe is perfect so I'd be concerned that sizing up would have made them too long. I currently have a pair of Wool Runners in a 9 that are a bit long but fit width-wise. So overall, if you have wide feet, size up even though these are offered in half sizes. And I wish All Birds would offer wide widths.
