Great Backpack!

Used this backpack on a 3 day, 16 mile hike and it was awesome. I carried about 28 lbs in it and didn't feel sore at all! I had it fitted for me in the store, my torso is short and the worker helped adjust it just right, plus it has instructions printed inside for future adjustments.

Simple Basic Pack

Bought this pack the night before a trek through the White Mountains as I recently gained weight and my old one didn’t fit well in the waist. I usually wear a kids pack as I have a short waist (torso 15” measurement) and many women’s packs start at 16”. This one was able to be adjusted low enough. It held up well

Great backpack but not a good fit for short torso

I loved it but my torso is very short so this meant I was wearing it at the smallest setting and that left a big space of padding on the back of my head that wouldn't let me look up. It will be a good fit for a medium and up torsos

Hi Nix92. Thanks for the comments. With its torso adjustabliity, the W's Trailmade 60 should be ideally sized for torso lengths of 15-19". If you are outside of that range (few but some are), you'll want to look at a different pack for optimized fit. A popular choice for petite women with torso lengths less than 15" is our Passage 55+10 youth pack.

Great Backpack

I have always hiked with the Osprey 65 L. I wanted something a little lighter and tried four different backpacks and this one was perfect for me. The lumbar support is exactly what I needed. The head does not remove and there is not a ventilation system, but still far superior for my build than any other backpack I tried

Good for a beginner just not for me.

This looks like a good pack for a beginer or someone just interested in getting out. I was expecting it to be a little better quality and the sizing was off for me so I took it back.

Hi Hikergirl. REI Trailmade gear, including the Trailmade 60 backpack, is designed with the newer-to-activity customer in mind. With that, we focus on approachability in both feature set and price that targets these users. From a pack standpoint, more experienced users will be better served with our Traverse or Flash backpacks. Happy trails!
