Size down

The one big this to make these shorts work is sizing down. I’m a medium in brooks chaser 3in, went down to a small for these (135lbs 5’5). The undershorts stayed in place (again, because I sized down, if I’d gotten a medium, they would have ridden up). LOVE the storage. My phone didn’t bounce, and I was able to pack my fuel/keys with no additional pack needed. I used them for my 15 mile long run (trail+road), no chaffing and they were comfortable. It was 90 degrees and humid, worked well for breathability.

Must Buy!!

Was skeptical when buying my first pair seeing as how they are 3” and I don’t typically like running in 3” shorts. Gave it a shot due to the longer liner and couldn’t be happier. These shorts don’t ride up, or drag when I put my phone on the back pocket. I do wish the liner had side pockets. As far as the smaller pockets they are big enough for my Jeep key fob and it doesn’t move/fall out. I’d say they are true to size. I’m between a small and medium. Ended up buying the small since they don’t ride up or cause chafing (was scared the medium would ride up). These shorts are so great that I just bought another pair.

No chafing

These are the first shorts that are not full bike shorts that do NOT cause me to chafe!!! My thighs are in a constant state of rubbing at the top of my inner thigh, so these are amazing. I am in LOVE not only with the color but also the style in general. The only thing is the external layer does bunch up a bit for me around my inner thighs while running, but no chafing due to the inner layer so not an issue in my book. YAY!

PERFECT running shorts for strong quad/thick thigh people

NEW FAVORITE SHORTS. These are glorious to run in. The compression shorts underneath are not too tight at all and I love the loose layer on the top. Side pockets are perfect to fit a couple packets of fuel. I sized up to a medium and could probably have used a small, but the drawstring waist is perfect for me to tighten the waist. back pocket fits a phone and doesn't move around too much. My main issue with shorts usually is the legs riding up because I have thick thighs/big quads but these don't ride up. Also, I don't chafe in these, which is a dream. Cannot recommend these enough. THANK YOU, BROOKS!

Finally these shorts are BACK! Love them!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally the running shorts are back with a longer inner skin! This kind of running wear used to be available years ago and I have been looking for years for these shorts to come back. The inner skin fits nice & firm. Doesn't ride up. Love them! Shorts are true to size. I usually wear between a size 12-14 or a true 'large' size. I ordered the large and they are just perfect. I love the light feel on the outer layer & although I haven't used the pockets yet, I know I will. They are a bit on the pricey side, however these will be worth it. I have a good feeling I will get plenty of wear out of these!

Solid 2-in-1 option—and it fits an iPhone 14 Pro

Really like the 2-in-1 option. Back zipper pocket fits an iPhone 14 Pro comfortably. Not too hot in the heat, comfy in cooler weather. I wouldn’t mind side pockets in the liner or a separate more secure key pocket (if I put a key in with my phone, risk key falling out when removing phone—and I don’t quite trust the little outer pockets). But to be fair, if I’m carrying much more than my phone & some dog treats, I’m probably taking a vest. This is quickly becoming my go-to short.

Great shorts that don’t ride up

This is great for those of us with thick thighs—I often have a hard time keeping shorts in place and these are perfect! The inner lining doesn’t move, but isn’t too constricting, and the outer shell makes running in hot weather feel breezy. I like the zip pocket in the back, which is big enough to hold a phone, but there’s too much wiggle room in the back, so I use it for less heavy items (keys or cards). Definitely my go-to running short for the summer.

Worth every penny!

I absolutely love these shorts! I wore these for a long day hike of the wind river range. 30+ miles in one day, they didn’t ride up, and they dried quickly with the short spurts of rain we had. I love how lightweight they are, and how small they pack down when I have to tuck them in my backpacking pack for overnights. I would highly recommend these, and would also buy them in a ton more colors if they ever come available!

Perfect for my marathon!

Great shorts for long runs when you want to be able to fit your stuff in the shorts! Phone pocket doesn't bounce, and I was able to fit a lot of gels/car keys/ pepper spray in the side pockets. Great for my marathon, no chafing or discomfort! Not room for anything large other than your phone, so you probably wouldn't be able to take a water bottle/wallet/etc. in these shorts.
