As it should be

Old school flare and durability! Was exactly what I was looking for in features and function. I couldn’t be more pleased. Not the lightest or newest technologies, but time tested and proven.

Perfect Trekking bag!

I got this bag for my overlanding trip to japan in September but I wanted to take it for a trial run before I used it internationally and let me say this i don’t think I could use any other bag… granted iv never owned a framed back pack but I can see myself using this for any trip I go on. It fits all my necessities + room I had to find ran some items in my house to put into it to fully fill it and add weight. I would recommend this to any who wants a trekking bag that wants to be more eco conscious or wants to get a good quality hiking bag!

This pack is great, I do like the wide opening top lid pocket, the same design as the Singi 48L. Material is excellent too, adjustable back length, full opening front pocket, as the other Kajka packs so you can access all your gear in the main section. Can be customised with extra side pockets, which I purchased with the pack. They do sit a little high on the side's for me, so I'll probably only use one for the front of the pack, lower down, near the base of the rucksack. It's a shame there's only one hipbelt zip pocket, but I knew that before I purchased the pack. Quality is great, as you expect from Fjallraven. All zips and buckles are easy to use and feel very robust. The load carry is great with 10kg Hopefully this pack will last me year's. I'll be using it for day hikes.

Yea it’s as cool as you think

Awesome sauce bag with some thoughts The carry system is heavier than others but it carries the load unlike any its size. The adjustable back system makes it easy to change the shoulder straps and get a very comfortable fit. This is a feature rich bag that doesn’t have any gimmicks, the floating lid is great for helmets, rope or really anything you can’t fit in the bag. The adjustable water bottle holders are surprisingly big. The compression straps are great. The top compression strap can hold a rope really well if you need it. The material is super duper tough which is nice. The one down side is that the the bag could (should I’m my mind) have a bigger main compartment. Perhaps offer a version with more liters at the same wooden stay length so that you can travel with in on airplanes but have extra space for ya junk. The frame, in my mind, could handle it well.

Great shoulder and back support!

I bought this bag for my Camino Frances adventure. It was really awesome. Although I have a shoulder problem and I was somewhat concerned about it, this bag provided me an amazing support for my shoulder and my back. However, I wished it was a little lighter.

Solid 35L pack

The Kajka 35L is a truly great backpack! I am more leaning towards the "bushcraft" use than the long distance hiking and most backpacks in this size either don't have a good frame system or the material is too flimsy for my taste (= ultra light weight). This pack fills exactly this niche: Moderate in size but with good frame system and nice to the touch/when handling it. The included rain cover is good for my use: a reliably watertight backpack construction that can do without extra cover is a pain in every other aspect (especially the watertight zippers), so I prefer a regular pack with rain cover. The attachment points on the Kajka 35L are very useful without creating "straps and tangle everywhere" - the pack is robust enough to attach wading boots and breathable waders in a mesh bag on the outside/back with paracord (using the daisy chain that runs under the main closing straps all the way from bottom to top). The (separately sold) side pockets attach on the sides (one location) or the back. For the back-attachment it is an option to attach only the higher side-pocket attachments to the lowest loops in the daisy chains and the bottom of the pocket will then hang lower as the backpack: very nice feature for carrying a longer fishing rod which otherwise would stick up high in the air and can catch a lot of branches that way (think 4-piece 11ft fly-rod in tube - the tube goes right into the "hanging" side-pocket and is secured with the side straps; a regular 4-piece 9ft rod can be placed in the permanently attached smaller side pockets unless you really need clearance above your head). Perfect backpack for, e.g., fishing in the Smoky Mountains: Hike in with gear and leave the pack under a tree when waders are on - the top lid is easily converted to a shoulder bag and can hold some gear, lunch and first-aid kit while you are away from the pack. I am 6'2'' size L in clothing and length of pack (back) is ok for the M/L size of the Kajka 35 - but I am on the "upper limit"; if you are broader in the shoulders, the shoulder straps might be too narrow, but they work fine for me (size L/42 in jackets). This pack is a keeper for sure!
