A terrific watch for any activity
This watch is great for any outdoor activity you have in mind. Very tough, cool looking, very legible, tons of functions. Much improved in fit and size over my previous Mudmaster. Only issue - absolutely terrible packing job by REI. The box was just thrown in a shipping bag, and arrived with the out box crushed, the inner metal box bent and open, and the watch flopping around loose in the bag. Thanks goodness it's also plastic wrapped and a very tough item, but when shipping an $800 watch a LITTLE care could be shown REI!
Absolutely The Best G Shock!
This is simply one of the most comfortable and user friendly G Shocks I’ve ever had. It is simply impeccable and stunning to even look at. The pictures do not do it justice at all. And the REI customer service is absolutely the best ever dealing with. One of my every day wear watches! Simply bomb proof and get compliments all the time about it! Thank you REI!
Unreliable watch, worse service
Watch suddenly died in less than a year! New battery did not fix. Warranty only available through 3rd party, took 3 months, hours of my time, significant shipping costs, an a Notarized Letter! Stopped working again just 9 months later, leaving me without a time piece while in back country winter conditions. Do NOT buy Casio!
Awesome Watch
I had my eye on the GWG 1000 but saw this one at REI so why not go for the most current one. Watch was awesome and large. My only issues was my wrist was not big enough for this watch and it would rub odd on my wrist causing a little bit of a rash (user error). But over all this watch was awesome and I enjoyed it the few days I had it but sadly returned it.
The best got better!
Been wanting a GWG-1000 Mudmaster since they came out but could never pull the trigger. As soon as I seen the GWG-2000 I knew I wasn’t going to wait long. Finally scored one during the anniversary sale while also using my dividends. Could not be happier with this watch and its features. Thanks REI for making it happen!
