Exceeded my expectations!!
Oh wow this jacket far exceeded my expectations! I ordered it last minute as the weather in Texas kept getting colder and colder. I had a 50 mile trail race and knew I needed something to block the wind and possible precipitation. I came across an article in my search about how Desi wore this jacket the year she ran Boston (the rainy cold year!) I thought if its good enough for Desi then I'll try it. It was the perfect lightweight outer shell to block the cold wind!! I have worn it several cold morning since. I especially love the way I can unzip it but it has special clasps to keep it from flapping in the wind. I have already convinced 2 girlfriends to order their own. Well done Brooks!! Now I need to try some of your trail shoes!!
THE PERFECT RUN JACKET
I am absolutely in LOVE with the color and warmth of this jacket! Just finished a Utah 10K wearing it, the weather started at 35 degrees with partial Sun and wind, and ended at 41 degrees. I wore this jacket with just a t shirt underneath, and stayed at the perfect temp the entire run!!! Omg I need more of these babies! I loved that I could fold up the hood, and all of the pockets. My last favorite detail is the hidden red buttons, as they are so cute and such a small but fun pop of color that can be hidden :)
Great running jackets.
Absolutely love this jacket, the color, the material and the fit. That being said, my other Brooks running jacket was a SM so I ordered a Sm and it was more like an XS. It was ridiculously short and tight. I reordered a MD and this time it fit, but the bottom is a little loose. It’s like I needed a SM/MD size lol. So keep that in mind. I’m 5’4 and 118 lbs. I love the color and I got my husband the men’s version in LG. He is 6’ and weighs 163. It fits him great.
THE jacket for running in rain and wind
This is THE jacket for running in the rain. I had tried a rain jacket from Nike before this and it was so unbreathable it felt like wearing a trash bag. I really wanted a rain jacket that I wouldn’t sweat to death in. The canopy jacket is somehow breathable and yet keeps me dry in some pretty serious rain. It’s super soft and comfy to wear too. It has a lot of nice features like a little button to hold the hood down when you’re not wearing it and it’s really cool how it packs into a little back pack. It is very lightweight so when it’s cold out I wear a long sleeve under it and it keeps me very warm. Sizing wise, I’m 5’6” 135 lbs and I got a size M (I’m usually a small but I wanted to be able to layer under it) and it’s perfect. It doesn’t look baggy but I can comfortably fit a long sleeve under. I’m super glad I bought it and have never seen another rain/wind jacket for running like it.
Love it, super practical!
I'm in love with this jacket - it's the most practical piece I've seen in a long time. The pockets are great, including the little internal one to keep your phone in place. The snaps under the zipper snap in tight - almost a little too hard to pull apart - but they're such a brilliant detail that makes all the difference when I'm out and need some air without letting the whole jacket flap in the wind. The only surprise was that this really is cool (in temperature) - don't buy it if you want a warm layer! It's pretty thin, so it breathes well and makes for just a slight layer of warmth.
Love this jacket! I purchased to use as a lightweight shell layer, for wind or rain, and it’s worked well for that! It’s definitely not warm, so would need to layer a long sleeve under if temperatures are too chilly. But on the flip side, it’s also not so warm that you get super hot while wearing it. Perfect for mild and wet spring / fall weather here in Michigan. Fits true to size, I am 5’5, 145 lbs, and got a medium. I wear a medium in Brooks short tights, a 6 in Lululemon leggings. The medium jacket fits well, not super baggy but enough room for a long sleeve layer if needed.
Like jacket but it is not water resistant
I like this jacket but it isn’t really water resistant - the whole reason why I bought it.
Comfy!
This was recommended by a friend. I was able to try hers on and liked it. I wish it had more colors. I ended up getting the same color as my friend as it was the only color I liked. It’s comfy and matched my new tights!
Disappointed
My first day wearing it. I went to unsnap the jacket and the clasp broke. The plastic used for it felt cheap and not sturdy. I was very disappointed after bring super excited to receive it. I would not recommend.
Good for minor wind. Not even a little bit water resistant. Soaked in seconds in a a LIGHT RAIN.
