Please note, this sizing chart is meant to serve only as a guideline.
Sizing downhill poles: Stand in your ski boots on a level floor. With your poles upside down—grips touching the floor—grab the pole beneath the basket so that the top of your thumb touches the basket. Your elbow should now be at a 90-degree angle. If the angle is less than 90 degrees, get a shorter pole. If the angle is greater, get a longer pole.
Sizing XC poles: Stand in your XC ski boots on a level floor. Place the pole tips on the floor next to your feet. The top of the grips should reach your arm pits.
Sizing skate poles: Stand in your skate boots on a level floor. Place pole tips on the ground with the pole shafts perpendicular to the floor. The poles should reach from the ground up to a point somewhere between your chin and your lips.

The mountainFLOW RE.7+ ski poles are wonderful and a welcome addition to my ski gear. The recycled aluminum poles are lightweight, yet stiff and sturdy feeling. The handles are pencil-grip type, and the texture provides a great grip without slipping. The straps are easy to get into with gloves on, and they are easy to adjust. The baskets are 3 1/4" diameter and a perfect size. My other ski poles have smaller baskets and punch through the snow too easily, which has not been an issue with the mountainFLOW RE.7+ ski poles. The tip of the pole below the basket is 3" and a little larger diameter than my other poles, which I really like. In addition to downhill skiing, I've also used these poles for snowshoeing. I highly recommend the mountainFLOW RE.7+ ski poles. You won't be disappointed.
Used these poles at the resort and on a recent backcountry tour. Love that they're made from recycled aluminium and have a lesser carbon footprint. They held up well, were clearly sturdy yet incredibly lightweight compared to my trekking poles and resort ski poles I've used in the past. Have tried with and without snow baskets, both do the job and the baskets seem to stay on well. Handle grip was very comfortable, I don't typically use the loop on poles so can't comment on that. They also look good; my only critique would be that they were slightly too tall/long for the indicated height in the description. Otherwise, highly recommend for an affordable, durable, sustainable and high quality ski pole.
Great ski pole, looks like a great color scheme, skilled vail and telluride with them. Detachable basket is helpful and at 5'11 the length was good for me. The contoured grips were nice as well and the strap is a good size. All in all. Good Sturdy light weight product.
I received these products for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. These ski poles are wonderfully light and strong and I ike the fact they're recycled aluminum. The grips are a good width and I especially like that the straps are easy to adjust. Overall great product and love the colors.
Tested these poles out first day of the season in Whistler BC. First impression is excellent, the poles are lightweight yet sturdy. I like the closed loop strap, with no buckle to catch on other gear. Baskets slip on and twist to secure in place. The grip fits well in my hand as a women, who typical wears size 7 gloves. I also really appreciate the colour design and the fact they are made from recycled aluminum.
These mountainFLOW ski poles are strong yet light weight. I gave them a test run on early season snow at Crystal Mtn. The poles were sturdy and didn't have any noticeable flex when carving turns. The grips and straps are of similar quality to other well manufactured poles. The poles earn extra points for being made out of recycled aluminum.
I have taken the poles hiking and skiing. I love how light they are. Skiing the grips fit easily in the hand and the rubber grips well. At the same time, they were easy to remove in the lift line. They bounce off the ice a bit where composite poles might dig in a bit more. I lost one of the baskets on the second day of skiing so make sure they are attached well. This was most likely user error.
Took these snowshoeing as we're having a terrible start to the ski year here in the PNW. Fingers crossed it gets better! The poles were great, I am hard on my gear and I like that the straps seemed sturdy and easy to adjust. I have previously snapped a pole and these felt more solid than that pair. I think its great that the poles are recycled, hoping for more gear like this. The baskets were easy to change. They seemed comparable to my Solomon poles at a more reasonable price.
I loved the sustainability and look of these poles, but I was so disappointed to find that the baskets are detachable. My first day out skiing with them and one of the baskets got lost in a drift of snow somewhere on the mountain.
The first thing I noticed about these poles was the great grip on the handles. The poles I used for last season we slick and would slip from my glove fairly easily. I can really feel the groves in the handles, which really help with maintaining contact. Boy are they light, maybe I've never had poles that are this light, but I honestly didn't realize poles didn't have to feel cumbersome. I really like the color and design of the poles as well, they really sparkled in the sun and snow.
