This is an amazing piece of engineering, 180 degree release from toe and heel. REI did a great job obtaining the correct width brake (95mm vs. 110mm in package). Mounting appears flawless, boot sole perfectly on center, plates in the middle of adjustment range, and forward pressure indicator exactly in the middle as well. This binding has three independent DIN settings.
I have these mounted on my Nordica Enforcers 110's mostly skiing off trail in moguls and steeper terrain in Utah. I can say that I do really like these bindings. After about 20 days on them I have not yet encountered a scenario where I ejected, but the skiing performance feels great. I do have some peace of mind knowing that I have the lateral heal release. This tech the binding has is somewhat of a gamble for reducing ACL tears. In theory it makes sense, and they cited research showing a reduction in forces encountered in simulated environments but it is yet to be seen if it actually reduces ACL injuries skiing. Regardless, the binding seems to ski well for me and since their seems to be no other compromise other then its slightly heavier weight and higher cost, for knee conscious skiers I would definitely recommend.
