Essential winter boot!!
These boots are awesome!! I live where it snows a lot and is cold, so the tread and insulation on these boots was a huge selling point. I've worn these shoveling and at many ski races this winter, and they keep my feet dry, warm after hours of standing in the snow and the tread is truly anti-slip! They're so versatile, I can take a long walk in them, they're great commuting to the ski hill and slip on and off so easy! My only qualm with these boots is they run very big, I wear a 6.5-7 depending on the shoe, but the 7 felt like an 8.5. Once I exchanged for a 6 I was very happy! I can still wear 2 pairs of thick socks comfortably if needed.
Love these boots
I bought these back in October and they have been the best winter boots I have ever bought. It's vital to have a good pair of winter boots up here in Alaska. I had bought a pair of northface boots that were made to handle deep snow and ice. They were completely outshined by these xtratuffs. They kept my feet warm and dry even when the snow came up to my calves. I haven't slipped once this year on the ice, the tread does wear down a bit but they still held up real well. 10/10 recommend these xtratuffs
Love these boots!
These might be my fav pair of Xtratuf boots! I wear them while operating our food truck in Alaska and during our recent cold snap, these boots did great at -30 with keeping my feet warm and comfortable with standing on the truck floor. I noticed while outside on the ice and snow that the bottoms don't freeze up and turn hard making it hard to keep traction. The fleece lining is just enough to provide extra warmth and comfort in the cold. These boots are amazing, would love another pair!
Winter Approved
I'm really picky about footwear and I love these boots. I've also lived in northern states my whole life, so I know how tricky it can be to find a tried and true all around winter boot, but these passed the test with flying colors. They slip on better than any laceless boots I've ever had, the fit is perfect (I normally wear an 8.5 and went with a size 9 - not too roomy, not too tight), the traction on ice is solid, and they're warm. Perfect to change into on the mountain before apres.
Icy Winter’s in MT
These are the shoe for winter in Montana! You know those days that there is snow and ice, neither are deep but they are treacherous and abundant? Well, slip your feet into these and you won’t need to worry about what’s beneath the grippy tread. While I haven’t tested them for warmth for an extended time outside, they are too warm for my feet to stay in them for long with the car heat on feet so I imagine I won’t have any issues when I’m outside.
Great winter boot
Just returned from AK and I had the chance to wear these in ice and snow. They are very stable, I didn't slip at all. The fit is nice because it allows for a thicker sock, but I did order my usual size. The sole has a noticeable cushion, which I like. There is a low pile/fleece lining that feels good! I own many pairs of Xtratufs and these are probably going to be one of my favorites!
These boots are the best!
I've been buying Xtratuf's for years but always wished I had a winter version to easily slip on. Then I saw these this year and jumped at buying them! They are so great, literally the same as their regular boots, just fleece-lined (and with more traction), so they're perfect for taking my dog on walks, running errands, etc. Highly recommend!
Great features, poor fit for me
I wanted to love these but they don’t fit well. They are too narrow for me and have a sort of scooped bottom that makes my feet uncomfortable. I tried insoles but that didn’t help. Other than the poor fit, the features are great. They are well built, lightweight, and have good grip on slick surfaces.
Best boots yet!
I love these! I was visiting my daughter in Mississippi and wore hers to grandkids soccer (in the cold rain). I ordered myself a pair the next day because living in Colorado you can always use another pair of boots right! Even bought my husband a pair and he donated the ones he use to wear.
Unexpectedly Comfortable
I love these boots! They are warm, waterproof, and really comfortable and easy to slide on. They do feel a little big and I would have sized down a half size if it were available. I didn’t want to take the risk for going a full size and then they are too small or uncomfortable.
