Smartwool  Ski Targeted Cushion Pattern Over The Calf Socks - Women's

Smartwool socks are my very favorites. I have tried other wool brands, and none compare for me. I own Smartwools in probably every height and cushioning variation. The over-the-calf height are my favorite in winter. I personally prefer them to the crew height as I have athletic calves, and they stay up better. In summer I wear the ankle height. I wear them for everything: running, hiking, biking, skiing, snowboarding, around the house. I hope they keep making the over-the-calf height. They are expensive, but getting harder to find. I wash them in cold water and hang dry. They last for years. Every now and then I get lazy and put them in the dryer, and they seem fine. Can you feel the love?

These fall into the 'passable' category for me. Even though I ordered my size, medium (I wear a size 8 1/2 women's shoe), they are a little too big in the toebox so they slide around a bit on my foot and in my ski boots. I washed them and put them in a hot dryer. They fit a little better, but they still seem to move around a bit on my foot even though they appear to be the right size. I'm thinking maybe they are not the best sock for a narrow foot? They are also a little thinner than I would ideally like for my ski boots. I don't like thick socks for skiing, but I would like a little more padding than this one. I probably won't buy them again. There is another brand (Fits) that fits my foot much better.

I tend to dislike wool - it makes me itch and it is usually uncomfortable! But these socks were super comfortable and warm, without causing my feet to sweat. The weight was perfect for my high performance (tight) ski boots. They kept my feet warm and dry while skiing all day in 20-25 degree temps. Definitely buying another pair!

I use these for horse riding. The smartwool fabric keeps my feet warm and dry in winter, and cool in the summer. Love the print, and my last pair lasted me over ten years. Durable, quality product – hopefully these last me another ten years! The targeted cushion is ideal for my riding boots and keeps my feet from getting sore after hours at the stable. These socks cost the same as a week's worth of groceries in my country, but worth it!

I bought these for my mom. She absolutely loves the ski socks and the fact they go up over the calves. This is her winter go to sock no matter where she is, if inside or out at a bonfire or walking around her feet stay toasty. We had to add one light colored pair for when she goes out just glad the design is up high enough it doesnt peek out of her pants. She absolutely loves these socks.

Living in the mountains, I ski in these all season. When I stop for apres after spring skiing, I can take my feet out of my ski boots and not be worried that I'll smell at a restaurant! I love the cute patterns, and they keep my feet warm and dry in all types of weather. Even when I get snow in my boots and they get wet, my feet stay warm because wool keeps your feet warm, even when wet! I love that they aren't like other sock brands that squish my feet - they stretch side to side so my toes don't get crumpled and painful like other brands. I also race in these socks to protect my legs when I run through brush. They're super durable and I have worn them for days at a time. My feet and legs stay warm, even when I run through creeks. They dry fast and keep my feet warm even when wet. I even wear these in the summer on hikes at high altitude - they protect from the sun and keep my legs warm when it's cold in the mountains.

I received a pair of Smartwool socks as a gift a few years ago. Since then, I literally converted all of my socks to Smartwool socks. Ankle socks for workouts, hiking socks for outdoor walks, and knee high ski socks. They keep my feet a constant temperature, durable/long lasting, and I love the fresh colors/designs they come out with every year.

Nice and warm socks. Thinner than expected for ski socks. My feet tend to run cold. I would probably something thicker if skiing. Not sure these will do the job without layering with another pair. Socks have some compression so I wear a size 6-6. 5 and these just fit (small). A little tight on my calves- I have normal sized calves.

I've been trying to get back into skiing again, but I'm such a baby now because the cold weather really gets to me. These socks were just the motivation that I needed! Soft, comfy, and cozy–and I really dig the vibrant mountain print. A little tight on my calves, but I have muscular calves. #SmartwoolLove

These are wonderful ski socks. I typically get the non cushioned ski socks but was looking for some extra protection for my shins. These are listed as targeted cushioning but there doesn't seem to be any extra cushion along the shins in these.
