I really like the high top version of this shoe so got the low top for street travel in my wet climate. On wet concrete, flooring and even the floormats of my car, my feet slid out on me. It's like ice skating on wet surfaces. Turns out the two versions have different treads. I was disappointed to have to return them, but found them to be a health and safety hazard.
These were the alternative to upgrading my Oboz hiking shoes with the newer model. The color is so nice I might keep these for walking round town rather than hiking. Toe box is very roomy. Decent arch support. Great tread. The only thing strange is the strap that the top loop of the laces fit through. Not sure what it contributes, and it often ends up flopping around when I miss threading the lace through it. That's why I rated these a 4 out of 5. Also, the laces seem very short. Overall, though, a great purchase.
I wore these shoes around the house for a while before venturing outside. I have had at least five different pair of hiking shoes that did not work out and went back. These will not go back! They are comfortable and roomy. My only suggestion is that they need more support as the sole is skinnier than most.
These seem very nice but they aren’t quite wide enough for my bunions.
Wow! I have been trying to find a hiking shoe for months. I tried Solomon and multiple Merrills. I had a pair of Anhus last that have run their course, but I loved them. These Tevas are so comfortable right out of the box. I love the wide toe box, it's perfect to avoid the friction. I ordered a half size up and it is perfect with hiking socks.
These are super comfortable and seem well made. Exceptionally good arch support and padding. Good tread.
