Absolutely LOVE my Hokas....there isn't a pair I don't like. Definitely helps out with my walking/running....after a 10 year hiatus, I'm enjoying "the run" again, without the foot pain. Love the color combinations, suggest a Cabernet on ALL models.... 😆
I bought these shoes and 8 months later they are annihilated and I have not used them in anything other than a fairly benign environment
I buy bondi 8 wide online , I got couple days ago and wear to a gym fist time I feel like something not right in my left foot , and second time I wear to a gym is worst and big swollen on my left foot, it’s cost $182.00 very expensive and more worst
The back heel portion of the shoe wears down sooner than expected. The fabric breaks down and starts rubbing on heel. After 6 mos wearing once or twice a week fabric of inside heel of shoe starts breaking down. Bummed.
Let me start by saving that these are some pretty nice shoes. My first pair of the Bondi's. I have been running in the Clifton's for a number of years, but I wanted to get something with more cushion. I quickly learned that they are not for me. I did not realize that the Bondi's are a full 5/8th of an inch wider on the bottom than my Clifton 8's. It just doesn't work for me being soo wide on the bottom. Otherwise, they are nice. My only other gripe is with the sewing on the top. (See the pic.) I've had other Hoka's with the exact same issue at the same point by the laces. I wonder why they don't put a couple stitches in there. I'll return these and get another pair of Cliftons.
Wow what a great shoe! I have heard great things about this brand from friends and co-workers for a while now, and as a lifelong Brooks loyalist, I decided to try them on at the store. I'm so glad I did! They were instantly one of the most comfortable pair of shoes I ever tried, and they felt like a marshmallow was formed around my feet while still providing great support. I decided to do some serious walking each day after purchasing and felt no pain even after several miles of walking. Highly recommend these to anyone who has been on the fence. If you have any foot pain or have been avoiding walking because of pain, get these and get your mobility back.
This shoes were shockingly poor. I’ve ran in ASICS and now my current go-to is New Balance. I wanted to “upgrade” to HOKA and got these as my first pair. Wow, what a total disappointment. They felt significantly cheaper and worse in every way from my cheaper New Balance. The shoe is very elevated with extremely firm foam that isn’t supportive, does not absorb shock, and actually makes me feel off-balance while walking. I was really surprised by how much I didn’t like these, and I definitely do not recommend the Bondi 8. HOKA clearly messed up with this like. I have since tried the Bondi 9 and it’s a clear improvement, but unfortunately for HOKA I just ended up getting another pair of New Balance.
Falling apart of the material at the back of the shoes/top of heel. Paid $165 for these shoes - out of warranty - purchased two years ago. While I understand wear and tear on soles, the material should not be falling apart for this class of shoe. Customer service would only offer 10% and free expedited shipping. I would never buy Hoka again - not a good company.
This is my second Hoka Mens Bondi. I use it 4 to 6 days a week walking 5 to 7 miles. I have forgotten how painful my lower joints were prior to this shoes. I try walking with an old but relatively new shoes that was my fav...i can tell i have to have my Hoka.
I thought HOKA was the way to go, until I ran on a treadmill once, and this happened, rei coop talked me into buying them, not what I expected for what I paid!!!
