Great Fall Jacket
This is a great jacket for when the summer weather starts to turn chilly. It’s also a great layer under the rain jacket. It is my son’s favorite jacket to wear to school/camp these last couple of weeks (August… in Alaska) It’s been in the 50s and cloudy/rainy most days. I bought a size small for my first grader.
great fleece
My kid loves it. Quality is great, a good base layer too. Not for a stand alone jacket in winter.
Poor
This jacket is so thin it’s basically useless as a jacket, even a light weight active one. It’s more of a shirt than anything. It’s going back.
Good warm up jacket
This is an excellent product for kids. They go through quite a bit of jackets and this one is a nice fit with soft material that they really like. One of the kids uses it for a soccer warm up and it's been really nice on cold winter days as they're warming up
An excellent layer just like mom and dad's!
Love the athletic fit of this jacket. Will work great as we move into the colder months as a mid-layer or light outer layer during cool weather. I like the snug hood that doesn't fall off easily and the thumb holes keep the hands warm. Kiddo said it was like a warm hug when he put it on the first time. Note: this is not a casual jacket - it is a thinner fleece, with an active cut and a smooth face for easier layering under a rain jacket or a puffy. It's a a kids version of the adult one both my husband and I have for camping, hiking, and winter sports. Kiddo has a more casual Columbia brand fleece jacket that is perfect for around town and school, but it's loose fitting and his rain jacket and synthetic puffy don't fit over it, thereby limiting its usefulness beyond cool fall and spring weather.
Great layering option for active kids
This fleece jacket is a great addition to my kiddo's wardrobe. It's warm enough to wear on mountain hikes, and thin enough to layer under a raincoat if needed. Kiddo's favorite feature: the thumb holes in the sleeves, which make it feel like a very grown up garment as well!
Material easily pills after a short time
The material for this jacket is already pilled and it is only a few months old. It fits my son well, but it looks very worn already after a short time.
