Gear Aid  Tenacious Tape Hex Patches

Easy to apply. I used it to fix a test on a down jacket and later applied a heat glue patch on top to make it look nicer. So far so good

This is truly a superior product. After mourning the tare to my Patagonia jacket, I Googled repair and up came Tenacious Tape. They have very good videos on the repair and give information on vendors. REI was first on the list. The product goes on easily and adheres very well. My jacket is black as is the tape (it does come in other colors) so it is almost not noticeable!

I bought these patches, along with a pack of same brand mini-patches, after my tent was vandalized in Salem. Someone poked a bunch of little holes in the rain fly which I discovered only when it rained. The next day I rode out to REI to buy some kind of patches. These are what they had, so these are what I got. I cut them a bit to cover the holes - there were a lot of holes. I used only the clear patches. They stuck OK (the rainfly was dry at the time) and when it rained that night I hardly got any leaks at all. I used only the clear patches and I have plenty left over.

Used 3 of these on three separate garments. I used tech wash on all three. The. Used rubbing alcohol. Then applied patches according to directions. It is advertised as washable so I waited til the next day to tech wash and water proof all three. After the first wash (low temp, low spin) they were all starting to peel. Such a waste of my time….

Bought these to fix a small tear in my REI rain jacket, worked perfectly, and the color matched almost identical. One tip, have two people do it one person to hold the fabric perfectly flat otherwise you get a very small wrinkle.

These were a great option to fix a small hole in my daughter's Jeep cover. We are getting a ton of rain lately and this not only color-wise blended in pretty well, it had done its job by keeping the water out!

I purchased this product to patch some tiny snags in my cycling shorts. They seem like they'd be fine on a non-stretchy, non-porous fabric like nylon, but these didn't stick for more than a few days. I eventually removed them and mended the holes by hand.

I had a small rip in my nylon coat and when I googled everyone said REI patches were the best and really stick. I ordered some and everyone is correct. The patches are fantastic and my coat is back in action! Thanks REI!

I used the black/clear patches. Well, the black patches, nylon, to patch a place in the nylon webbing back of my Eagle Creek sling bag where a large spot had worn through. It has been a couple of weeks, and the patches are holding perfectly. Not sure how I will use the clear patches.

I used these to cover a tease in the palm of my snowboard mittens. The first patch came off immediately in the first wash. The second wouldn’t stick to the newly washed mittens. With both patches I tried, the paper backing wouldn’t come off in one piece. I had to pick off little bits of paper from the back of the patches.
