My favorite product!

I purchased one almost a year ago, and it’s wonderful! I turn it on for every evening and bedtime outing. It lasts about 3 days on one charge, and it’s easy to recharge. I haven’t had any issues with the charging aspect, unlike some reviewers. We have a large amount of yard fenced in, so it gives me peace of mind to be able to find him in the dark (and make sure he’s behaving!). It’s so bright and visible. I love this product so much, I bought another one for our newest pet. We’ve had it on her for a couple months now, and it works great. I love that I can make her a different color than his, so I can see who is who in the farthest, darkest parts of the yard! I recommend it to all my pet friends.

Disappointed

I purchased this product back in 09/22 and now it no longer works. If this is the life expectancy for the product it should say so. I purchased the rechargeable light, because I thought it might last longer than the battery operated one’s. It did work for 7 months, so it wasn’t a total bust. Will not be purchasing another one. :(

Poor battery life for price

Have been using it for about a month now and it's really nice when it works. The light is bright and the blinking mode is great. However, it does not hold a charge well or at all. I expect a few 15 minute session at least with each charge but no, we always have to charge it. We got this as an "upgrade" for another light that we had lost but it has proven to be unreliable. I was hoping this could be a light I can keep on my dog's collar and charge once a week but it lives with the charging cable. Overall, useable but lack the convenience I want for the price.

Thank you for sharing your experience with the SpotLit Rechargeable Disc-O Tech. If you are not experiencing about 5 hours of run-time, then we would be happy to replace this for you. I don't know if there was any water ingress, but that can cause battery issues. This product is weather resistant, but if it was ever submerged or snowbound, these situations can easily lead to water getting into the module. Please contact customer service at info@niteize.com or at 800.678.6483 8-5 M-F MST, so we can get the replacement sent out.

Hello I wanted to write a review about your amazing customer service. I emailed regarding the Spotlit clip for my dogs. I was having issues with the clips breaking after only being used a couple of times. I got an email reply from Zach and he asked if I still had the receipts which I did. He also said if I didn't have the receipt he could replace one as a one time exception that falls under their worry free guarantee. I found the receipts and emailed him the copies. He replaced my clips for me and I got them in the mail really quick, thank you so much. I just wanted to share my experience and a big shout out to Zach.

I USED IT FOR EVERY NIGHT WALK... UNTIL...

The spotlight seemed to be a great little light, it's bright, easy to use, convenient, and changes colors. So, what else could a customer ask for? How about a product lasts more than 11 months, and can survive being charged more than a handful of times? The spotlight was always clipped to the front of my dogs harness even when it wasn't being used. The spotlight was never submerged in water, or any other hazzared one might think could kill an led light. I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed. So, if you decide to pull the trigger and purchase a spotlight my advice is to wrap it in bubble wrap, and keep that receipt close.

Great while it lasted

I was given this as a gift at Christmas. It worked really well to be able to see my black dog at night. I've recharged it maybe 5 times and it was working great. This last time I went to charge it the charging light was orange instead of red. After letting it sit charging all night I checked it in the morning and the light hadn't turned green and was still orange. Unplugged it and it wouldn't turn on. If it's plugged in the light comes on but as soon as it's unplugged it won't work... Tried different chargers and still same result. So it works great for a short time. I'll have to contact them and see if it is covered under warranty. Hopefully they have good customer service...

The light is great, the clasp is not

I have had this about 30 days. One end of the clasp comes loose and the light falls off my dog’s collar every time we go for a walk. I have put the end of the clasp back in the hole many times, but it keeps popping out. At least it is easy to find in the grass.

Perfect walking light

This light is perfect, I was able to adjust the light types during our evening walk. More of a preference, but the advantage of the light and being able to see where we were walking was perfect.

We bought two tags and both turned green when charging before first use but one would not stay lit after unplugging the charger.

well, its great when it actually works

so far I have mixed feelings about this, have had it for a few weeks. it takes about 3 hours to charge, and will run for about two hours, my previous nite ize rechargeable would last for about 10 hours, but the clip broke. It's really bright and noticeable when it works and makes me really visible when I am walking in the dark. The other huge downside of the rechargable is that when the charge runs out it just goes off, leaving you in the dark.. At least with the battery operated ones they go dim so you have some warning that you need to change the battery
