Pole snapped on second use

I was excited to get this tent and I imagined having it for 20 years, through all the kids growing up. Unfortunately, the second time I pitched it, one of the main cross tent poles snapped. Maybe I should've just gotten a Coleman after all...

Pole cracked

Pole cracked on initial set up. Contacted customer service and asked for a replacement section. I was told North Face would not help and they referred me to an outside company where I would need to send in the entire pole and pay for the repair. Other manufacturers would just send a new section. Disappointing.

1 and 3/4 season tent.

I love this concept. Couple of minor adjustments could make it great. It's listed as a three-season tent it's more of a 1 and 3/4 season. We recently used it in July at 9,500 ft in the Wasatch mountains. When it's cold outside it's cold inside. The extra large vestibule concept is amazing. With gaps it just allows all the mosquitoes and flies to build up.

review of tent

The tent in general is decent, but I have trouble with adjusting the what I call the alcove where you put your shoes and added gear so it does not get wet.there is a strap that goes from on end to another side of the alcove. I could never get it adjusted right because the sides ride up a bit. But I still give it 8 out of 10 for quality and functionality.

love it

Family of 4 with a large dog! It splits into two rooms! We’ve also used to for girls camping trips 4 adult cots fit with a portable ac! Been through 4 thunderstorms including 70mph straight line winds hail etc and no drops inside!! Stayed dry for summers now and we love it!

great tent, a bit pricy

So, I’ve owned this for a few seasons, set it up a handful of times, slept in it in a rainstorm and had some dry days, too. Happy with the room over the 4 person we had before. Divider is fabric, what more or less can i say? Tents really are rated for the amount of sleeping occupants. We are able to have 2 queen mattresses if we wanted. There are three of us for this tent and it has ample room inside and a great vestibule. Go to Sierra and buy the vestibule extension for more room for the main vestibule or add a vestibule to one of the side doors (we have 2 vestibule extensions, so we could have 1 super long [double extension!] vestibule or each of door could have their own)! I am considering a 3rd to have a vestibule for each door and 1 to extend the normal vestibule, they are inexpensive enough after (I think high cost) purchase of tent but they do add a lot of room. We have the floor saver too, have to protect the investment. Along with the 4” thick inflatable mattress pads make for a very inviting bedtime. Bag that it all goes into is a nice touch, instead of stuffing into a tube sack. Cinch up when full, it is quite heavy, be aware of that it’s 25 pounds ”trail weight”. I do recommend it, it is a large tent and usually answer a lot of questions if we are hanging around it.
