I wondered if this towel would be too big to be worth taking it on day hikes. It is lightweight so I gave it a try. I found so many uses for this towel on just a few hikes. It was great for laying out on a log and putting my pack on it when the ground was wet. My Westie hiking buddy, granddaughter and I used it as a sit upon. It was large enough to drape over my hat and protect my arms when I forgot to put sunblock on them. It even has a loop to hang it up. My eldest granddaughter wrapped herself up in it while exploring the back woods. She even wrapped her and her baby sister in it to read her a story. Oh, and it also works as a towel to dry yourself and the wet Westie paws off. You will have to shake it every time you use it because things tend to stick to it, but that isn’t a big deal. I threw it in the wash and the colors stayed nice and bright. I will be keeping this on my gift idea list for family and friends.

Does not actually dry quick
Mike
Unfortunately this is not actually quick drying, it actually holds onto liquid long enough to form a mildew-smell after just a few days. I used this on a two month motorcycle trip through Mexico and it really needs to be in direct sun immediately after use to dry fast. Does not work if you are drying off with it before bed and hoping for it to be dry by morning so you can continue on your way. I developed a chronic itch about 6 months ago and have finally been able to track it down to mini mold spots that have finally revealed themselves. This towel spent almost 100% of its life outside hanging off the mirror of my camper van and even in the dryest desert environments it still held onto enough liquid to develop mold with regular washing. I used a normal cotton towel before this and will be trying a thin “Turkish” cotton towel with an open weave next to get more airflow

Impressed w/ this versatile towel

I thought this towel would be perfect for a camping road trip I’m going on soon. It’s even better in person than online. The blue is vibrant and the pattern is beautiful. For being an ultra light towel, I am impressed with just how well this works. It absorbs a lot of water and dries quickly. I left this wet towel on the hood of my car and it dried within 30 minutes while I ate lunch. I also love that this towel is ultralight but it’s big enough to wrap around my whole body without exposing myself. I even used this towel as a makeshift picnic blanket and no leaves or grass stuck to it at all. I always try to have multi-purpose items in my travel and camping gear, and this towel is the perfect addition. I am 5’8” and 165 lbs.

Light, packable towel for all your towel needs!

This towel is very lightweight and easily packable. What I find most impressive is that, despite being so lightweight and folding down into hand-sized rectangle, it's actually the size of a regular towel! This makes it very versatile. I have used it as a towel/blanket for lounging at the beach in addition to packing it on several 8+ mile full-day hikes. It also dries very quickly, making it the perfect travel towel. I wish I'd had this for my last city to city backpacking trip! Love the rainbow colors are well, makes for some striking photos.

Love This Towel

What a great towel! I am a swimmer and I love having a great towel with me at all times. I was a little disappointed at first as I brought it to the indoor pool and didn’t feel like it did as good of a job drying me off as my other towels, but I have since brought it with for 2 open water lake swims and it works wonders. It dried my skin quickly, dried itself very quick and also has a cool pattern. This would be perfect for camping too as you want something that can dry quickly. It came with a carrying pouch but I don’t plan to store it in that. Nice thought for keeping organized while camping or backpacking. It packs away nice and small unlike traditional towels.

A microfiber towel that actually gets you dry!

I’ve used this towel a half dozen times for trips to the pool, and it has far exceeded my expectations! It is big enough to cover my body after showering, yet small enough to fit in my small swim bag. But what really struck me was how well this towel dries! I have had many microfiber towels in the past, and was always willing to compromise on their ability to truly dry my skin in order to avoid having a bulky towel. But with this one, I don’t have to compromise! My skin gets dry enough to apply body lotion after showering at the pool, this one is pretty light at 7-8 ounces, but i plan to buy the mini version for backpacking trips since this one is so great!

Great camp towel for travel and backpacking

Love this lightweight camp towel which is perfect for hiking, backpacking and just keeping in my car for last minute swim sessions. This is my go to towel for backpacking and travel too as its small, lightweight and handy to have in my pack for hostels, outdoor shower scenarios and any river crossings. Makes a great ground cover as well when I just want to lay or sit down during or after a lot of miles on the trail. Has held up well with washing in the machine and lots of days of wet/dry, also dries quickly.

Vibrant, Absorbent, Lightweight Towel

This towel is very convenient for travel. It comes with a mesh bag to fold in that you can clip to the outside of your backpack to allow it to air out if it's not fully dry or just keep it separate in your baggage/gear. The design and color of the towel is super vibrant and eye-catching, it was definitely a conversation piece when I used it outside during tennis and a hike to wipe away sweat. Speaking of wiping away moisture, it was very absorbent in relation to how light weight and thin the material is. I also used it after a shower and just for testing purposes soaked the towel and hung it up to see how long it would take to dry from a state of complete wetness. It was almost completely dry in an hour and I really appreciate that they've added a loop that you can use to hang it from anywhere. While this is a very useful travel towel, I'm not the biggest fan of the suede texture but I realize it's necessary to achieve the functionality of a lightweight travel towel. Also, make sure your first wash is with like/dark colors, but it's worth it since again the color and design are very appealing and unique.

Amazing Backpacking Towel

I'm in love with this towel! It's big at 54" X 30", I'm 5'3" and this wraps around very well. It weighs 8 oz, I have another towel that weighs slightly less, but it's still ultralight. Using this on the trail was great, once it was used, I put it in its pouch, attached it to my backpack with a carabiner and it dried fairly quickly. When at camp I tied paracord to the ends and hung it from a tree to dry completely. The material is microfiber but it isn't the type that points out how dry your skin is. I can't find anything about this that I don't like.

Comes through on its promises

I am very pleased with this towel. I used it at the gym and for SUP at the lake. The color and pattern are nice. I had read a previous review mentioning a smell after use, so I was pleasantly surprised to have that 100% not be true. (And I really sniffed that sucker!) Fabric that can’t prevent odors is a dealbreaker for me. The towel took up minimal space when folded, and was very generously sized for drying my entire body and providing full-wrap coverage from shower to locker. The fabric is soft and, yes, extremely quick-drying. Within 30 minutes it was bone dry.
