Awesome fat bike. Salsa quality with Advent X drivetrain. Flawless so far. Set it up tubeless which puts the bike around 30 lbs in a size large. Not bad for an aluminum fattie. Runs true to sizing chart, I’m 6’ 0” and a large fits great.
Geo is relaxed, and seat is positioned behind the BB, so it helps weight the rear in low traction conditions. This feels like a sit an spin kind of ride, but it'll go it you give it the beans. The frame has the latest/common fat bike standards ( ie axle spacing). Wheels are nice, and seem to be a popular fat bike wheel. Rear hub engagement seems reasonable. Bb height seems reasonable, offering am engaging ride without any pedal strikes to speak of. Microshift advent x is 10 speed but offers reasonable range, i had to get it in the stand before the first ride to fix the misaligned derailleur, but its been spot on since. The tires are amazing i was shocked at the grip on snow, ice and other natural surfaces. I have not studded the tires but suspect that this offer considerably more traction on slick smooth ice. I setup tubeless to benefit from lower air pressure and eliminate the pinch flats often incurred with a tube. The grips are not lock-on, and need replacing off the bat. If your riding mountain bike trails with features, a dropper post is recommended... Just dont buy before measuring because the seat tube is a bit high. I was able to fit a 150mm post, bottomed out. Cable routing through the narrow frame windows was a bit tricky, but the rubber inserts look good.
