NOT WATERPROOF
Just ran out in the rain for 2 hours and was soaked through. Needed a light breathable waterproof jacket for a mandatory race kit. Not going to work. So disappointed. Picture of it hanging up to dry out
Great jacket but the sizes are not correct
I bought an xlarge and I'm shocked how small it is. I got it off another site and can't return so now I am stuck w it. The jacket itself is amazing. I have a men's one and thought a women's would be better for hips and chest. So there basically no jacket size for me then with some muscle and hockey butt. The men's are ok just not enough freedom in those areas. Not sure what women are that tiny as an xlarge so it's honestly very shocking how small it fits. So just be aware. Besides that it's an incredible jacket
Super light-weight, nice jacket
Love this jacket. It's very lightweight, perfect for active sports where saving space matters. The waterproof-ness works well. It runs a little small. I usually wear a medium but a large fits better, especially for sleeve length (I'm 5'10", 145 lbs). The one downside is that the hood is a little big and the interior elastic comes down a little too far if you don't have another hood or hat underneath. But that's only a small annoyance. Overall, great jacket.
Great jacket for PNW runs
This jacket handles the PNW rainy long run days no problem! I love the material on the hood that helps keep it in place with movement and wind. There is also a snap in the front that allows for breathability along with some vents on the posterior side of the jacket. This is my first jacket specifically geared toward running, and I’m very happy with it so far!
A Kit Must Have
The durability and protection of this jacket are impressive. I find it fits true to size and provides great protection from the wind and rain. The jacket moves with you and I love that the hood provides ample protection when the weather really closes in on you. The jacket packs down small for storage in your pack when you aren't needing it.
Cool pocket but not breathable
I bought this to try with the rain and while it was a good fit, there was a lot of sweat that accumulated and it didn't seem breathable. It was very congested (like wearing a plastic bag over my body). I don't think I'd recommend this. I want to find a more breathable jacket that is water proof.
Great jacket for wind and weather
Great jacket to wear as an outer shell for wind and rain. Water beads and rolls off . The hood is awesome with great coverage for the head in a rain shower. Styling is very nice and fit is good. Runs a little small size up for layering. I will be using this all year on the Colorado trails.
Excellent jacket
I have worn this twice now, in heavy rain. The jacket is very breathable and keeps me dry. It is extremely light-weight. I also love the colour (I bought this in white) as it helps me to stand out/feel safer on road sections. Another amazing quality product from Salomon.
Hood is not adjustable
I was excited about this jacket because of all the good reviews. However I’m disappointed by one design flaw - the hood has no cinch and it slides down into my eyes. This is really annoying. I would not recommend this jacket if you plan to use the hood.
Fabulous! But a tiny bit sweaty
Overall great - very waterproof - hood fits amazingly, lovely colour and packs down small. As always you can’t have something that’s fully waterproof without compromising breathability but overall it’s good :) generous fit.
