Fantastic except for lack of a zipper
These are just what I was looking for, and they felt fantastic the moment I put them on. However, the fly has no zipper. When it said "zipperless fly", I was thinking there would be no opening or velcro or something along those lines. There is a hole, and a snap at the top like other pants.... but that snap is the only thing keeping me "decent". I will be keeping them and sewing on a zipper. They are worth the effort, I got them on clearance and the fit/material are perfection.
Good lightweight biking pants with a major flaw.
There is ONE snap holding the pants on your waist. No zipper, no belt loops, no drawstring. Even the built-in nylon adjustment strap doesn't cross over the front of the snap. So if the snap goes, you will find yourself with your pants wide open and coming down off your waist. If they had made the snap a button, at least it would be a little more secure... but nope. Its a flimsy snap. Eat too much breakfast? Pop goes the snap. Gained a little weight over the winter? Pop goes the snap. Its a shame because I really like these pants. They are light but can be worn on cooler days, or when you just want to cover your legs on warmer days. They are short enough for those of us with short legs without having to get them hemmed. If it had some way of backing up the snap closure it would be perfect.
Great for cycling on rainy days
Love these pants so much, I decided to buy a second pair! They're great for gravel riding and commuting to work in spring and fall weather.
Bought a 2nd Pair
I bought one pair, and went back for a second one. They are a little warm for hot weather, but not bad. Perfect for cool or in between weather. Very comfortable, not too tight, and not too baggy. If the 2 inch gap under the front snap makes you feel insecure, then you probably think 2 inches is extremely large. It’s a non-issue. Would buy again.
Tough, Lightweight, Suprisingly Breathable
These have come to be my favorite performance pants. They feel tough enough to handle any slides/falls through dirt, rocks, and brush while being comfortable, I forget they're there. The tailoring fits me perfectly, they dont get hung up on my knees and have enough room for knee pads (Im using the lightweight Ninja pads). I use these most days in CO except for the hottest days in full sun, even then they'd prob be fine. I have no issues with the lack of a fly zipper and the snap button. I think I would feel more secure if it was a button but the snap hasn't failed on me. Again, I love the fit and I wish I could find other daily/hiking pants that fit like these. 5'-10" 185lb, size 32in fits great, just had to snug up the internal belt a tad (good thing)
Flawed design
The fabric is uncomfortable in warm weather. But the most serious problem is the fly. The snap comes unbuttoned several times a day, a problem made more serious since there is no zipper and no belt loops. That's too bad because the pants otherwise look good---good enough to wear to a casual office. I will keep looking for sharp bike pants.
No zipper
No zipper on the fly, serious design flaw. Like who wants to be able to into someone’s pants from the crouch when they are supposedly all close up. Add a zipper or some buttons so phalli don’t escape their confines.
Cycling pants
The only down side is the Price and they were the only pair left in my size. These were the perfect in-between pants for me . I don’t really go for the skin tight bibs, these are loose but not too loose . I wear a thicker wind resistant pant all winter that can get too hot in the spring before it’s warms up enough for shorts. So these are the ideal, exactly what I was looking for
not worth the price
These are very lightweight / cheap feeling pants. YoungLA or even Vuori are cheaper alternatives. Fox is a cool brand but y’all need to do better.
very comfortable to ride in
these pants were very comfortable. no binding up in weird places. these are my go to commuting pants now.
