Dang good tent.

We bought this tent a month ago, absolutely no problems with it so far. We bought a 7x9 ground cloth as well to have somewhat of a front porch on each zipper door which has worked out well. Plenty durable, looks good, great ventilation, no issues with morning dew. Camped 2 separate 2 day trips so far in this tent (first trip lows in the low 30’s, second trip low 40’s at night) with my wife and 2 small dogs and had plenty of room inside the tent and inside the rain fly for small coolers, boots, sandals, packs, etc. Also, we love the inside pockets at all 4 corners. Extremely easy to set up. Stake out the corners 2 poles, 2 rain fly supports, rain fly has one corner that has red stitching which matches the same red on the corner of the tent. Get that corner to match and the rain fly goes on like cake. One of the considerations with these double wall tents is that sometimes you end up with a few more stakes in the ground…no biggie if pounding a few stakes doesn’t bother you. With 4 on the ground tarp and 4 on the tent with another 4 for the rain fly…..kinda slows the process down a little bit. But in exchange, no dew, good ventilation, good heat retention and extremely durable in wind and rain. We definitely have nothing negative to say about this tent, however we have not used it in rain or snow yet.

Cheap quality, hardware and zipers.

Return process was easy with REI. The quality of this tent is cheap, the zippers kept getting stuck and the stakes were cheap.

SO. MUCH. CONDENSATION!

THE QUALITY OF MATERIALS IS GOOD. I WOULDN'T EXPECTLESS FROM A NORTHFACE PRODUCT. HOWEVER THIS TENT DOES NOT BREATHE. LIKE AT ALL. THE CONDENSATION DRIPS INTO THE TENT WHEN YOU TRY AND EXIT FROM THE POORLY DESIGNED DOORS. AND TO REACH THE ZIPPERS WHICH ARE AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE TO EXIT THE TENT, YOU END UP TOUCHING YOUR CLOTHES TO THE CONDENSATION COVERED FLY. IT IS GROSS. TECHNICALLY THE TENT IS WATERPROOF SINCE TOU CAN LITERALLY BE CAMPED IN A PUDDLE AND IT DOESN'T COME IN. AND I DID INCREASE MY RATING BECAUSE OF THIS. BUT THE CONDENSATION PROBLEM BRINGS THAT MUCH WATER INSIDE ANYWAYS. I HATE THIS TENT

Love this tent

Have been using this tent for over a year. Love the two vestibules. They can be open at the sides or in the front, depending on what you require. Front is good for warm days when you need a cross breeze. At the side is good when you want privacy in the tent but don't want to be totally zipped up. Bought the footprint separately. Very worthwhile. Only had 1 rain event without issues. Easy up and down. Good size for 1 or 2 people. A standard Coleman cot fits in just right. Don't have a single complaint. No zipper issues like some have had. Just take your time. It isn't difficult. Plenty of places to hang lights or fans. Pockets are also nice.

Fantastic tent!

Loved my first weekend with the tent (2 nights). Durable and I love the visibility without the shell. The shell was a good windbreaker during the cool evenings (low 40’s).

Solid tent!

I bought the Stormbreak earlier this year and have used it about 15 times. Went all over the PNW and it did a great job in rainy, windy, snowy, and sunny conditions. Easy set up and pretty spacious, ideal for two people and a dog and cozy for three people but still perfectly doable.

Extremely waterproof!

I was camping in the Smokies all last week. One day, we got 12+ hours of heavy, steady rain. I was so sure when I finally made it back to the campsite that my stuff would be soaked, but was elated to find that was not the case. The hard rain bounced some drops back up under the fly, making it a bit muggy inside, but everything else was totally dry. Cannot say enough good things about that situation! I did buy some heavier tent pegs almost immediately after buying this tent because the ones that come with it are trash, but beyond that, it has been absolutely perfect. Easy to set up, great circulation, and will keep you nice and dry!

Good tent.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good tent. Legit easy to setup, vestibules are huge. Keeps warm in and cold out. Huge game changer for the wife. Small size, wish it was waterproof or tarp offer

Also know as Sequoia 3

Use this tent for a quick weekend getaway. For those of you interested, it's also known as The North Face Sequioa 3. Easy to set up and take down. The poles are really light weight and easy to install. As most of you know, a 3 person tent is really a 2 person tent plus gear. With 3 people you'd have to be really comfy with each other. The double doors and two vestibules come in really handy. The only down side to this would be that the zippers on the rain fly do tend to get caught every once in awhile. Overall, really a good quality tent.

True to its name.

I've owned my Stormbreak 3 for some 2 years now, and have fallen in love with the capability it provides to get out into rough weather for cheap. The rainfly is bulletproof, and has proven itself in Eastern Sierra snow, despite the tents 3 season rating. You can't go wrong with 75D polyester. It is worth the weight. I've never had the fly wet out, nor dealt with any interior moisture other than condensation- there is no true vent. However, in the weather this tent is capable of getting you through, it's not as if you'd have them open anyways... No better tent for the price, tough out the weight and you'll never look back.

Great tent! ... Only one problem...

I loved this tent as I was using it. Set up was easy. The ventilation was good. I liked that there was two entrances. Bugs never got inside. Wind proof and water proof. However, at the end of a ten day camping trip, holes had been worn through the bottom despite having a heavy-duty tarp underneath. I would not use this tent in any area that has any type of rough ground. The bottom is the same material as the rest of the tent and will not last on certain types of ground. I compared the bottom material to a friend's tent and hers was much more sturdy. I would expect for the price that the bottom would last longer than other cheaper priced tents. I could not rationalize keeping this tent with holes in the bottom especially because I planned to use it a lot more.
