Not good for sweaty workouts
I bought these as gym shorts. The length and fit is great and they are very comfortable. I like the teal color. However after sweating and moving around the gym, it didn't take long for them to develop wet sweat spots pretty much all over the shorts. If I sat down at a machine or a bench, or on a mat for stretches, blotches develop around the butt and crotch and it is not a good look. It's as though the material is slightly absorbing sweat but also wet and shiny. Never had this problem with other shorts.
Totally Embarassing
I want to love these shorts. Got them for a great price on clearance, they’re extremely comfortable, fit great, and the zippered pockets are extremely secure. However, any time I wear them to run any significant distance, the inner thigh area soaks completely through with sweat, creating the unsightly illusion that I peed myself. It’s gotta be an issue with the fabric, not the color, because I own both the tan pair and the orange pair. If you have skinny thighs that don’t rub together at all, you might not have this problem. My legs are muscular and my thighs do rub, creating a strategically placed sweat stain that is incredibly embarrassing. There’s no way I’d wear these for any kind of organized race where there are photographers or other human beings present.
my favorite everywhere shorts
I wear these Janji transit shorts everywhere. I have several colors and will keep adding more. They offer the best fabric, fit and comfort for any activity. It’s a versatile, do-it-all fabric that’s soft on the inside and smooth on the outside; it’s stretchy, but also durable; it doesn’t crumple or wrinkle. Huge bonus—there’s an extra small zippered pocket that is perfect for stashing away my credit card wallet. I love that all the pockets are zippered, which makes it great for traveling and shopping—you don’t have to worry about stuff falling out or getting pick pocketed. Btw I think the length and fit of the short is perfect and very flattering. I’m 5’10, 175 lbs and wear medium.

Your new favorite shorts
Bought these the other week and tested them out during a weekend of camping and river chilling. Love the fit and zipper pockets. No back pocket so be prepared to store your wallet elsewhere. Pockets are good and deep with solid, accessible zippers. Material is lightly water resistant but very fast drying - I was using mine mostly as a bathing suit during the day and light wear for the heat at night. Very comfortable and look great. 5/5 bought another pair this week.
Perfect for any activity
Bought a pair of these so I wouldn’t lose my phone or wallet at an EDM festival and the zippered pockets were clutch. Three discrete zippered pockets. Comfortable with or without underwear. Wore them for two days on Shi Shi Beach to Cape Álava Trail in Olympic NP and they held up to lengthy sections of bouldering, bushwhacking, sliding down hills, and climbing cliffs, not a single tip or tear. Great for hiking, perfect for dog walking.
Stellar travel + running combo shorts
I needed shorts that I could use for both traveling light in warm climates, exercise, and being in crowds. The zippered pockets are the perfect size and position on the leg for storing most objects (including the oversized phones of today while moving). The third rear/slightly hidden zipper pocket feels both more secure from pickpockets as well as more secure for objects when running, hiking, or moving about. The material dries as fast as any other synthetic, and is light but feels substantial enough to resist most beatings and scrapings. Plus, they function as pretty good swim/board shorts when you find yourself needing a pair. :-) For me (5'8", 165lb), medium fits perfectly on waist/hips, the length is above the knee far enough to be comfortable and athletic, but just long enough and plain enough to use for casual occasions and going out. I'm going to be purchasing a second pair.
Finally Found The Perfect Shorts
I've been searching for a pair of shorts that are lightweight, stretchy, and with zipper pockets and these tick all the boxes, and then some. They are lightweight but the fabric feels substantial and high-quality. Pockets are very roomy and the bonus side pocket is a nice touch. Great for summer and travel.
Great multipurpose shorts
These shorts are very versatile, comfortably working for running, gym workouts, and casual wear. zippered pockets are great for keeping things in place, materials are comfortable and feel durable. Only downside encountered during first few weeks with them is that the drawstring seems a little short; I have had to fish one of the ruberrized ends out of the shorts a couple times and have started to leave them tied to avoid that. Luckily they are elasticky so they stretch when putting the shorts on.
Good All Around Shorts
These shorts are fantastic. They are very comfortable and feel well made. Awesome zipper pockets. Will be great for the gym and backpacking. I'm 6'2, 191 lbs, 34" waist and the large fits me perfect.
