Very Good

Somewhat similar to the product like it that I replaced it with! I had that pair so long, I can't remember if it needed breaking in a bit before wearing....I always wash a new clothing product before I wear it but it looks like this one will need a couple more....hopefully it hold up the way my old pair did. I don't need the slot in the back....guess some runners it is for a small towel. Also, my old pair had just one side pocket for a key or something small, which was fine for me but having it in the back where one cannot easily reach it....just glad the geniuses who ""improved"" (sic) didn't do anymore ""improvements!"" (sic)! Most of the time in life, it is best to leave great things alone and not try to ""improve"" (sic) it! Thanks!

Weird fit

As the title says, these are a weird fit in two ways compared to every other brand of shorts I've owned. Firstly, the elastic in the waist is almost non-existent so you're totally dependent on the drawstrings to hold them up. Secondly, the waistband doesn't sit on the waist - it sits on the hips! Combine those two ""features"" and the shorts just don't feel comfortable or secure. I only bought them because of the multiple pockets, but they just don't work as running shorts so I returned them.

Great shorts ruined by the elastic string

These shorts are light and comfortable as long as you don’t need to carry anything heavier than a Gu packet. If you run with a flip belt or vest then you should absolutely give these a try. That said, avoid if you carry a phone in your shorts. The drawstring is so stretchy that even at maximum tightness these feel like they’re falling down when you have a phone in the phone pocket or a towel through the back loop.

Close to what I want

I was looking for replacement shorts for the now defunct RaceReady shorts. Needed pockets for nutrition. This is close but not exact. A couple nutrition pockets. Not real keen on the phone pocket or the loop to tuck a jacket. I can live with it, but don't need either of these. More pockets for carrying nutrition packets would have been nicer.

Solid 5"" shorts

Love the material & feel of these shorts, as well as the slightly split hem. Very comfortable!! But, they do run a little big for me. I am a size Medium in all my shorts and 31"" waist, but I'm wondering how a small would fit — however I've never bought a small anything in 30years. They have a central zipper pocket on the outside of the waistband that can hold a phone with no case, but the phone seems to bounce a kittle more than I like (maybe a size small would eliminate that). Also, the drawstring has too much elasticity — I have to pull&tie them extra tight which creates a lot of extra string after I tie them, and feels a little awkward. Not sure so want to cut the drawstrings shorter. I have only wore them twice — may try a size small… if they fit right, I think I'll like them more (5star). But maybe I am just between a small & a medium with this style. I have medium NewBalance QSpeedFuel 2-in-1 shorts and they fit True to size.

Not that great...pretty poor fit

Not that great of shorts....Wish the return policy was better here. I tried the shorts, but they're pretty lame running shorts. The waist is not your standard sizing and fit is a bit weird. I've loved my other New Balance running shorts, but these were pretty poor.

Not very sturdy

The shorts are comfortable and very light weight. Sadly, the 3rd time I wore them the seam ripped on the left leg. I don't recall putting any stress on them. I expected better quality for the price.

New Balance needs balance

Problems with NB. Mediums wear like a large and smalls run small. Great short but really inconsistent sizing. Like buying foreign made Nike apparel. Disappointing unless you’re small framed

Good shorts. Horrible drawstring

Good shorts. Horrible drawstring. Too stretchy to hold them up if swimming in them. Comfy stretchy elastic drawstring but won’t hold up shorts with any drag.
