Horrible Junk Food Product
I tried this Hammond snack mix and was not impressed (waste of money). If you look at the long list of ingredients, which itself is bad, there is a lot of added stuff you don't need (certainly not organic). I looked into Hammond and turns out they are really a candy company, which explains a lot. I really don't understand why REI is carrying these junk-food products when there are so many other outstanding types of snacks on the market. Shame on REI on this one!
best mix ever!
Came across this mix in southern Utah. Best mix ever! Good mix of salty, sweet and spice. The pretzel balls are delish, crunchy! Get yo self some!
A little disappointing
I bought these hoping for a nice salty sweet snack mix for hiking or the office. I was a bit disappointed that it was not very salty, and the amount of pretzels overwhelmed the other stuff a bit (though with slatier pretzels that might not have been so bad). It came across as kind of dry, though that might be ok in some circumstances
It's a too-sweet treat that's fun to eat.
A little of this goes a looong way. I made the mistake of having this as a default snack while out backpacking for 5 days and I don't ever want to eat this stuff again. My bad! But for a handful here or there, it is great.
Tasted off.
These were old and tasted rancid. I should have looked at the date but I just tossed them, so I don’t know if they were expired or not. disappointing snack.
