Kayak Dream
This purchase met all expectations. Purchased to use at our local lake. Easy to load. Easy to use as double or single rider. Purchased on sale and so glad I jumped on this purchase.
High End Budget Model
Some context, I've been kayaking for over 20 years and have either owned or demo'd many major brands. I'm currently using a Hobie Pro Angler 360 as my primary and purchased this as a second vessel for friends to use. My goal was to find a decent kayak with comfortable seats, but nothing so nice I would have to worry about others using it. With that said, as the title states, this is a high end budget model. The seats are very comfortable and the backs have variable tilt, all the way to flat which is nice for storage and transport. The plastic itself is where I think the price point should drop. It’s thin, even thinner than a $400 Pelican. And there are no foam supports inside so unless you’re standing on a scupper the deck feels like it should never hold much weight on a single point. The rigging also leaves a little to be desired. The tracks, scuppers, and bungie's etc are ok, not great, but good enough. At the end of the day I’d say this is a decent choice. You can go cheaper and be sitting in a plastic molded puddle of a seat. Or go more expensive and get the same thing but more durable. Overall it paddles and tracks nice enough and I have no complaints in that department.
Great Kayak
My kids got this for me for Father's day; We took it out and really enjoyed it. The kayak is perfect for what my wife and I were looking for. Maiden voyage was a success; looking forward to many more excursions.
