GU & Stroopwafel: Perfect Marriage!
As a dedicated GU loyalist and a stroopwafel fan who loves the Netherlands, discovering GU Stroopwafels was an incredible find. The combination of my favorite energy brand with the deliciousness of stroopwafels is simply spectacular. The flavors are delightful, each one capturing the essence of traditional stroopwafels while offering the energy-boosting benefits that GU is known for. The chewy texture of the wafel is perfect. Highly recommended for fellow GU enthusiasts and stroopwafel lovers alike!
These taste awful
There are some diet/energy snacks that you look forward to eating, others that taste fine but you wouldn't eat them if not for the health benefits, and then a select few that represent the absolute worst case scenario you could have imagined when you bought them. These are the latter unfortunately. It doesn't matter if it's "Salted Chocolate" or "Salty Caramel" or "Caramel Coffee," (I dare not even try the berry one) there is a disgusting "industrialized chemical" flavor that lingers in the background of each bite that makes it difficult to swallow without gagging. You ever unintentionally let an antibiotic start to dissolve in your mouth because you had a difficult time swallowing it? These are infused with that taste, mixed with a cloying saccharine flavor. Perhaps I got a bad batch? I doubt it. The most charitable take I can fathom is that perhaps I'm particularly sensitive to a specific ingredient. If that's the case, you better hope you are not sensitive to that ingredient before you try to eat one of these.
