Great for beginners

I have used this iron to wax my snowboard at home several times now and it heats up hot enough to melt the wax and spread it across the board (as it should), but sometimes it doesn't appear to be evenly heated across the entire metal plate. This unevenness just makes it so I have to spend more time going over some spots, which is not a super significant issues. Overall, it's an affordable alternative to dropping off gear at the mountain or a repair shop all the time!

Inconsistent temps

This thing gets hot pretty quick then drops just as fast without reheating for long periods of time. Horribly inconsistent temps making waxing a nightmare.

Great little iron

I put together my own waxing kit for the tips and tails of my waxless skis. This iron works great. Only reason I am dinging it a star is the temperature control is really hard to set accurately and tough to read exactly where it is set. But it hold temps well and has a nice even heat and wax drip. Smooths out the wax beautifully.

Works well. Great for skis, ok for snow boards. Melts wax at a good temp for all weather wax. Had an old clothes iron that worked as good. Wife did ant to give me another one!
