lack of instructions

The product may be good, but I never bought a product with such a lack of information on how to use it correctly. And ,what is worse, the picture makes no sense. Guessing how to use it seems easy but clear instructions would be better. Diamond Videos on the web are for a different model.

Didn't do much for my skis

I bought this to improve the metal edges of my cross-country skis. I have sharpened axes, skates, knife blades and other edges over the years, so I know my way around sharpening tools and edge sharpening techniques. I thought that this might be a good tool to remove some burls and sharpen the metal edges of my XC skis, especially with the angle control. However, I couldn't seem to make much difference in the edges no matter what I did. It was as if there were no diamond grit or anything else, so I went back to my very fine steel flat file and a finishing diamond file that I bought at Home Depot. They worked far better. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I would recommend using a conventional steel file to smooth out and shape the rough edges, and then finish the job with a diamond-impregnated file of the sort that you can get online or at HD. These will do a much better job at a lower cost.

Unintuitive and not effective

This pocket edger isn't very intuitive to use or some with decent instructions. It seems to work okay but doesn't effectively deburr or put much of an edge on my skis
