I have many leatherman tools. They are all so great, but this one is the absolute best... why? because i can carry it in my pocket and I don't feel it's light, extremely well designed. It's a beauty it has the flat bit holder and that's very important cause they take so much less space, and the Leatherman flat bit carrier is awesome. The clip makes a stylish hint on my pocket, its jewelry and a toolbox packed as small and light as possible. Buy this now. I put my name on this greatly. Thank you, all the staff, at leatherman for making this possible and rei for the amazing customer care.

Perfect Daily Leatherman (after fixing one defect)

I look at this particular Leatherman as the "Wave-Light" — which is actually perfect for me. I do own a Wave and others as well. You lose two of the exterior blades (the saw and serrated knife), but gain a lighter and more pocketable device which I prefer. It comes with the pocket clip attached, unlike the Wave, and actually carries surprisingly well in the pocket. The interior tools are identical aside from the inclusion of an Awl instead of the Micro-Driver (I personally find the Awl more useful and really appreciate this). You should note that the interior tools are not fully "locking" like they are on the Wave, but the slip-joint "snap" is quite strong and I don't mind this, because the main knife still has a full liner-lock. I also presume this helps with achieving the slimmer and lighter profile of the Curl which is important to me. All this said, the first one I purchased from REI had a factory bizarre defect. The large fixed flat driver / pry tool was literally un-machined at all into the tool, as if it just never got shaped or ground at the factory and they just stuck a random rectangular bar of steel into it with a blunt cut off tip. I sent photos to Leatherman, and to their credit they responded very quickly and agreed it was a factory defect, and to REI's credit, they replaced it with a new one the next day no questions asked. The new one seems flawless in construction, so I'm happy. All in all, I own a lot of Leatherman tools and this is now my go-to EDC version because I feel like I get the same familiar quality and tools as the Wave but in a more pocketable setup.

Leatherman's decision to drop the serrated blade and saw to gain pocket comfort, pocket clip, and price reduction made the Curl an easy purchase. I carry it far more often than my other Leatherman products.

Excellent Multi-Tool!

I carry a knife daily, and I've wanted a new Muti-tool for years. However, I hated that many of them came with tools I'll never use. This Curl is amazing because it's relatively lightweight but still well-built and tough. It has all the tools I'll use without the added weight of tools like an eyeglass screwdriver, a mini saw, a magnifying glass, 1-2 additional knives, and an integrated carabiner. I do love, though, that it has a deep carry clip, which I prefer. Great product--thanks, Leatherman!

A great pocket tool

This tool strikes a good middle ground between being comfortable carry without sacrificing much utility. Note that mine needed a little oil to loosen up.

Almost Perfect EDC Multi-Tool!

I was looking for an EDC multi-tool that wasn't massive, but also not lacking. After reviewing several tools this fit the bill. It is small enough to be comfortable in my pocket and has all of the essentials that I was needing. The one tool I never thought that I would really have use for was the file. Within a few days of owning the Curl, the file saved me from some headaches during welding inspections for work. The only reason why I am not giving this 5 stars is there is a weak point with the pocket clip. The clip sticks out quite a bit and doesn't really give a snug fit. In addition, it would get caught on everything. After owning this tool for a few months, the clip weakened until it finally snapped off after getting stuck on things one too many times. I've been carrying pocket knives every day for years and have never had this happen before. Hopefully this issue can be remedied. Other than this, I have been very happy with the Curl.
