Thick high quality, maybe a little small
Fit: When I first put this on I felt like it was maybe a little small, but I either got used to it or it stretched out a bit, as it is now perfect. I have a medium women's head. I can wear this around my head up over my mouth/nose or with my whole face exposed, or with it down over my neck. . Design: There are different knitting patterns in different areas, with the mouth area more open-weave to let you breathe easier. It still got wet and my sunglasses still fogged up, but it felt better than other balaclavas I've had. It feels fuzzier in some areas and flat-knit in others, but all very cozy. The split in the neck lets you stuff it down your shirt to prevent gaps. I did have one small thread pull on the mouth area after wearing daily for 2.5 weeks, but otherwise it has held up great and I expect it to last basically forever. . Great quality and design, I'd highly recommend.
Mountain Biker's best friend
This Intraknit face mask is amazing in the bitter cold. It allows to walk my dog or complete my workouts regardless of the temps. I'm very satisfied with the details and quality of the piece- as usual with Smartwool products.
Very good in cold conditions
This was my first Smartwool purchase and it has been a good one so far. It holds up very well in cold, windy conditions. I wear this while I bike ride in New York City during the winter. I have no restrictions when I turn my head. It covers my face and neck well. It is pretty breathable. The only minor hang up I have is that it is a tad big. I have a small head, 6 7/8th by fitted hat standards (the smallest you can purchase).
Saved my face
I wore this while doing snow removal for 6 hours in temperatures of -15 to single digits. Breathing was easy. Kept my skin warm. The opening seemed a bit big for my face thus I gave it a four. But wearing a knit hat negated that issue. Bonus, it fits well under my bike helmet.
Nose and ear protection on bike commute
Good weight for biking to work in 20-30F, thin enough to be barely noticeable under the helmet, snug fit that stays in place without being a compression sock
Fantastic!
I love this balaclava! It's soft, warm and so much less bulky than my other balaclava. It should free up some room in my backpacking pack!
Must have for freezing temps.
keeps my head and body warm while working outside in sub 0 temps.
Looks Good!
Looks good and fits well. Have not worn outside yet.
