Hip belt strap glued on
I've really enjoyed many of the features of this pack. However after 1 month of use the hip belt pulled out. I cannot believe Arc'teryx would glue this critical part on a pack.

Great fot touring and light backpacking adventures
I bought this bag mainly for my backcountry ski adventures and I would say it didn't disappoint! I'm pretty short (5'4) and the short version of the pack fits pretty well. It sits perfectly on my hips, the belt is solid and the bag doesn't move at all. The shape is also very interesting as it provides lots of space while keeping all my stuff together near my back which allows me to keep a good balance whether on skis or when hiking. Lots of pockets et features + very lightweight compared to other similar backpacks. The only thing for me is that the pocket where I keep my probe and shovel should be more accessible.
The Touring Pack I Asked For!
I'm 5'4" on a good day, so I was definitely wise by ordering the SRT version of this pack as the REG would be too long, an FYI out there for any of you short folks. Options to access two side ports and also from the top rollback portion is key for quick and easy access. Pack is durable and very light, even with a back plate to retain the back form. Comes with a helmet mesh to hold your bucket on the outside, great option. Plenty of pockets and space for your probe, shovel, thick outer layer or whatever layers you have, snacks and other essentials. Ideal for day mission, almost overkill. Plenty of exerior straps to snug the pack down when descending. I only dislike how the side straps connect overt the zips, would prefer plastic flips rather than hooks, those can be cumbersome with gloves. Feels snug even with a camera mount on the front strap! I love it and hopefully you will too!
Great ski touring backpack
I've used this backpack for a couple of day trips and a 3 days ski tours in the Alps. It carries the weight comfortably, the belt is very supportive and thansfer the load on the hips. When skiing it's well balanced and does not wobble. The closing system with the roll-up it takes some time to get used to, but it is pretty handy. The side straps with the new Arc'teryx hook and loops system are not so good ( normal fasteners are better with gloves) but not so bad either. You need to unclip it to access the side zips, because the zips are unidirectional. Some small welcome improvement would be bidirectional zips on the side, and a small zippered pocket in the main compartment, accessible from the side.
Ultralight feel, excellent workmanship
This arrived quickly, within two days of ordering (notably fast for pandemic-era). This pack is smartly designed, and feels like a larger arcteryx daypack (such as the khard 30) reimagined as an ultralight pack. Other than the main compartment, it has a small top compartment designed for small items like phone, wallet, keys, sunglasses etc., and a long thin internal pocket that runs vertically alongside the exterior. My only gripe is that there is no hole or port for a drink tube, so if you have a water source you will find yourself forced to use the side-access zipper to run your drink tube. Not the end of the world, but very strange for a pack of its size and type. Maybe people who ski don’t drink water?
Good pack but misses the mark in many ways
This pack is so close to being a reasonable backcountry ski pack, but misses the mark in several minor ways. The pack Carrie’s weight very well. The pack has no nice way to carry a rope. Coiling the rope and putting the rope across the top and down the sides does not work without additional straps. The pack also only takes one axe on the outside, and is not retained well. The metal toggle that goes through the axe will always work it’s self loose. If you want a second axe, you have to put it inside in the avalanche tool compartment. This is clearly not a ski mountaineering pack. Materials are not durable for carrying skis in a frame or diagonal. On the 2021 model, the arm straps and waist straps have a documented problem where the stitching comes undone, solved for the 2022 season I think. I completely destroyed the frame sheet with cracking and delamination on my 21 model with careful use and less than 30 days.
Amazing design
This pack has all the features and still comes in at a light weight. The helmet carry is a welcome addition to previous models. Easy to pack. The waist belt is paddled enough to be comfortable on spring touring missions where you are just in a t-shirt. So stoked for this winter to use it a bunch.
Great design
Great improvement over previous version. External helmet is great. The chest clip is a whistle, nice touch. Super easy to carry skis on side. Great double side access to wet section and dry section. Wish colors were nice.
This bag is the nest
