I bought these boots at my local REI store, after trying several different models. These were the most comfortable of the lot, and within my budget. They feel a lot better than most ski boots, whether I'm standing around or walking at the resort. When skiing, they perform really well, holding my feet and lower leg well, and helping me push forward and stay in the right position. The flex is just right for me, although I could have done with one more level of stiffness (I'm an intermediate, 2+ skier, and mostly stay on the groomers, up to one diamond, with the occasional foray in the wilderness). The padding is really good - no more shin bruises, which is usually a huge problem for me. After 2 full days of skiing, nothing hurt, and that's a first. I'll have to go back to get the inner boot thermo-fitted, and may need a heel butterfly as my heels do tend to rise, but they're pretty narrow, so it's not the boot's fault. Not to mention, they look pretty rad. I'm a true 9.5 in women's shoes, and got the 26.5.
Pretty and comfortable for the wife. Took them skiing in the Sierras and worked well as for the last few years we've been renting boots. 2 straight days of the slopes and no complaints. My wife is an intermediate to advanced skier.
I just got back from wearing these in Colorado right out of the box for a week. I chose them in-store because they were the most comfortable of all the boots I tried, despite being a little more stiff than others for my level of skiing. That said, they did end up having a litle more flex than I was expecting while skiing. Walking in them was also not a big deal since they're so lightweight. I did have a couple of hot spots, but the REI employee who fitted me said these were fully moldable in-store, so if I wanted more space at the toes they could make it happen. There's no walk mode, but I tried a fair number of boots with "walk mode" and noticed absolutely no difference at all. I'm a size 9.5 shoe but can be a 9 or 10 depending on brand, so I went with the 25.5 in these (which would normally be a size down, but this is common for ski boot fitting). One foot is wide in the toe box, so the last on these was an important factor. They fit just like they should-- very snug, without smooshed toes. They do touch the end of the boot when standing, but it's not something I notice while skiing. The buckles are painted black and after only a week some of the black finish has already started to chip away, but "tools not jewels" and all that. Overall good boot, if I had one complaint it would be the pink accents but it's such a common thing in women's specific gear that It's probably unavoidable. Would recommend for beginner and intermediate skiers.
I bought these boots in store at REI and immediately liked how comfortable they felt. However, after skiing in them a few times, I started having a lot of ankle pain in these. Upon going to a professional bootfitter, not only were they a size too big, but the bootfitter explained to me that these boots are much too high volume (wide), and not stiff enough for my skiing style. Avoid these boots if you have narrow feet!!
I have a size 10.5 women’s, wide width. Size 27.5 fits perfectly. They are easily adjustable to where my foot and heel are snug but I can move my toes. The interior is soft and comfortable. The exterior looks beautiful and the accent color that I think is supposed to be pinkish is more neutral so it looks good with my dark grey skis.
