Great shorts, comfy
Excited to find plus size Nike running shorts. I have a pair from years ago but those arent near as nice as these. The fabric is comfy and light and I love how breathable these are. They run a bit larger that I’m used to for a 3x. I have been working out some so perhaps my body has changed some. They have a a awkward zippered pocket on the left side towards the back. I’m sure there’s a reason its positioned the way it is but it’s hard to utilize for it to be useful for my use. I’m glad to have these for summer and for around the house
Super comfortable plus pockets
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Nike Eclipse running shorts are amazingly comfortable, will stay in place, and has a place for your phone/cards and keyfob! There is a drawstring so even though they seem to run a tad bit bigger, the drawstring works for it to fit just right. The inner “underwear” layer is very soft, and just the right thickness so they can be worn with or without an actual pair of underwear. The outer layer is soft and flows well so it covers my not so flattering areas. There is a zippered pocket to hold necessities. The eyelet details are very catchy. Overall, these shorts are my new favorites for comfort and aerobics. Let’s be honest, I don’t run so much.
Good athletic shorts
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, these shorts are very nice. The fabric is smooth and comfortable. The waistband is soft and has quite a bit of stretch. I also like the ability to tighten the waistband as this area ran a little big. The inner liner is very convenient and eliminates the need for another layer which can ride up or fall down. Overall, these run a little big. I noticed the waistband and legs are larger than I expected so they look a little baggy. There are two pockets which is a nice feature. One pocket is on the left hip area and has a zipper. The other pocket is hidden in the waistband. I appreciate the two pockets, however they were both too small to hold my phone which was disappointing. Overall a great pair of shorts. I would recommend sizing down if you are in-between sizes.
A Really Great Pair of Active Shorts - They Thought of Everything
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't normally wear shorts, I gravitate towards leggings and skirts, but the Nike Eclipse shorts are very comfortable. I love the fabric waist material as well as the dri-fit material for the rest of the shorts. 3 perfect pockets, one at the small of the back, one on the front hip and a zip pocket on the leg. Makes it easy to be hands-free but still have the essentials like a key, phone and chapstick. For bottoms I wear a 2x or 3x depending on the brand and fit. The 2x fits just right. The only thing that would make me love the shorts more would be if they were in black or if they added a skort option.
Swishy shorts
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I often walk and jog outside, but I use a treadmill as well. When I first saw them, I thought they may be too big, but they have a drawstring so that helped. The waistband is very comfortable and wide. I liked that. They stayed on comfortably while I worked out and didn’t fall down or fold. They were definitely not a slim flit, and may have been a little wide around my leg, but I normally wear leggings or spandex underneath. They have built in underwear which I think helped with keeping them from riding up. The material is very lightweight and I love the color. I usually just wear black, but the trendy sage color is really nice and matches a lot. I did not like how noisy they were when I jogged. The material swishes together and is kind of annoying if you are not wearing headphones. I liked that they have pockets for keys or a gym card. I could also fit my phone in there.
Fantastic exercise shorts!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely LOVE these shorts!! I wear these every single time I work out now. They’ve become my go-to shorts! The biggest thing I like about them is they don’t ride up my thighs, which is a huge bonus for me. The material is super comfortable and even when you’re sweaty, it doesn’t make the fabric sticky or roll up like some fabrics do. If I were to get them again, I would definitely size down as it does seem they run a size or so bigger, which isn’t a huge issue since they have the adjustable ties inside the waistband! If I had to change one thing about these shorts, I don’t think I would say anything if I’m being completely honest. These shorts are a game changer, at least they were for me. (:
No waistband
The waist panel for these shorts does not keep them up. There is no elastic and the cut does not taper enough to the waist (I say as someone who is NOT an hourglass). It is just the same lightweight fabric as the shorts, almost the same width as the hips, with a skinny little drawstring, which is inserted in a way that makes it very hard to draw tight and knot, and when knotted, was hard to untangle but also somehow didn’t stay tight. Consequently, I was yanking them up for the entirety of my 15-minute walk with the dog, retyping the drawstring three times. This is what happens when companies just scale up their measurements to plus sizes without any design consideration for bigger bodies and how their athletic gear should perform on them. In non-size-related gripes, the pocket placement is stupid. And the item description does not specify that these shorts include attached briefs. (Maybe Nike or REI thinks “running shorts” implies attached briefs? Does it? IDK. Regardless, the description should mention them because not every shopper will make that assumption.) Pros: The fabric is nice, I like the length, and I was especially happy to see bright colors in my size range (so tired of black).
So cute
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shirts are so nice. They’re breathable, a good length and the pocket on the back is clutch.
Amazing shorts - run big
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fit unfortunately were too big. They were a full size too big. I normally wear a 2x or size 20 and could did 1x or xl. I have a larger butt and carry a lot of weight in my lower stomach. Shorts are rarely ever too big on me. They were very comfortable. I liked the high waist and supportive material on the waist band. The fabric was both soft and durable. Loved the back pocket that fit my phone. I am a SAHM and these would be my uniform in the summer chasing after kids outside. The sizing was just very off so I gave 4 stars!
Almost perfect
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shorts are really comfortable. I really loved wearing them, but they weren’t quite perfect. The built-in underwear underneath seem to ride up quite a bit while working out. For a plus-size girl, I need a little bit more coverage across my backside in the underwear part. Other than that, the fit was great. The material is super smooth and comfortable. Right under the waistband though was a bit unflattering because the material is not forgiving at all. It’s very thin, which is nice when working out, but not so nice when trying to hide excess weight. My favorite feature is the built-in underwear, they just need it to fit better. I love not having to wear anything else but the workout shorts, I just needed it to cover better. Fixing that would make them perfect.
