My best adventure companion - lasts 10+ years!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had an older TNF Apex Jacket, that lasted more than 10 years (and still rocks, the jacket I love most!), so I decided to find a new one as similar as possible. The APEX Bionic Jacket is absolutely perfect for my needs, windproof, and I'd say also quite waterproof when the rain is not very hard. It breaths very well, but gives you good heat when you need it. I personally use it 9 months per year back in Milan and the Italian alps: exploring the city, hiking, riding on my Vespa, and sailing. probably I'll wear it for 12/12 months in California! The fit is great, also for very thin people, with adjustable coulisse. Essential and elegant style goes also with your shirt. I'd say, tech-gant! I have many technical jackets, but in my life I've never found another from a different brand that is better than this one! I hope The North Face will never stop producing it.

Incorrect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The north face lettering was the WRONG color it's pictured white. But it's is black. Why would you use black lettering on dark grey material, there's NO CONTRAST?

The Jacket I (and you) Have Been Waiting For!

The first North Face jacket I have ever purchase did not disappoint! We had 3 days of 40+mph 50 degree winds just after I got the jacket. And true to it's claim, NOTHING cut through the Bionic Jacket. Pretty incredible! I ordered this version and the Bionic Hoodie, but opted to stay with the jacket version. Made more sense for the uses I needed for it. I am almost between a Medium and Large, and opted for the M, as the large had too much room/arms too long. Wish it was about an inch longer, but that's due to body type, not jacket construction. A+ product.

Best Jacket I've Ever Had

This jacket is hands down the best jacket I've ever worn. It's unparalleled temperature regulation makes it so my body stays at optimal temperatures (not too hot or too cold) no matter what the temperature gets to outside. The lining of the jacket contains a quality of fabric seemingly far too advanced for its time. Whenever I put on the jacket the water repellent properties and the 100% wind resistance makes me feel as though I am suddenly transported to a world in which undesirable weather conditions simply to not exist. While accomplishing such advanced technological feats the jacket still maintains an astonishing level of both style and comfort. I would definitely buy again.

Nice product, very happy!

Awesome jacket! I would advise buying a bigger size I went for XL and I'm ft6.2 atheletic in build with quite long arms which normally is my problem when buying jackets like this hence why I went up a size! I'm using this for hiking and mountain biking, so far it's quite warm I'd say for anything below 0 Celsius you would need a good base layer. I wanted something that wasn't to bulky and restricted my movement for when I'm on the bike but still be warm and relatively fashionable so I could where it casually, so far it ticks all the boxes! Quality product once again by north face! Highly recommend!!!

Great Year round jacket

I love the design and asphalt grey color, the build quality is nice and it excels at keeping wind out, and has decent water resistance, a small drizzle won't be a problem for this jacket, however I wouldn't wear it if it were pouring. I love the fit, I got mine a size small to get a more athletic fit, but it's not too tight. I'm 5'10 150lbs and usually a medium, I got mine small and the fit is very nice. My only complaint is that they removed the Velcro on the sleeve to cinch it up. Apart from that minor hiccup I highly recommend this item to anyone looking for a nice, warm year round jacket.

Great Product, not ideal for those that are taller

Great product but I am 6' 4". Unfortunately this product does not come in Tall, I ordered online hoping it would be a great fit. Large size was a bit too tight/short and XL size was way too big. I had to return it and unfortunately settle for the Apex Bionic 2 Tall (No hoodie) Large size (terrific fit but I really wanted the hoodie). Overall its a great product, amazing for windy weather, and looks absolutely amazing. As long as you can find the right size I would absolutely recommend it, if they happen to make this Jacket in Tall in the future I will be making an immediate purchase.

LOVE LOVE LOVE

I bought this for my boyfriend for his birthday a couple weeks ago and you will be lucky to see him out of it now! He took it on his fishing trip to Maine this week and is so happy with it! I couldn't ask for anything more. It's the perfect material. Warm on the inside, while slightly waterproof,

Transitioning from the Apex Jacket to this.

Originally I have worn the Apex Bionic Jacket. It was great except for the fact that it was missing the hoodie. That was the main reason I decided to buy this. The hoodie actually feels more true to fit but still has a boxy feel around the midsection. However it is alot let loose then the bionic jacket. Other than that, this is very lightweight and warm. Easily layerable depending on weather conditions. But since I travel on the subways for a majority of my day, this jacket allows me to not be that guy with the oversized jacket taking more space than needed during peak rush hours.
