Cute but lack of heel support
I love this minty color! They are lightweight and comfy, but when I walk feel like they’re going to fall off my feet. I ordered an 8, and I’m between a 7.5 and 8 so I probably should have ordered a 7.5. Wish there was more heel support, but I guess it’s thin and flimsy so you can wear them as slip ons as well.
Cozy, but defective
These shoes are cute and super cozy. However, I noticed that the shoes are two different shapes. The tread is like stretched on the right shoe where it meets the fabric material and curves outwards. I've added a photo of each shoe to show the differences. Not something I would have expected from Teva.
Best house shoes! Get the next size up!
Absolutely love the ReEmbers! I normally wear a size 8.5 (mondo 25) and ordered a 9. They fit perfectly or snug without being tight. My friend wear a size 8 normally and found the 8 too tight but liked mine in size 9! I am stoked that these are Vegan!! Love the versatility in the design for slip-ons without ruining the back of the shoe (neoprene back). Very helpful to walk around quietly rather than slips that slap around when you walk. Tip: the pink/blue/wht design seems to be online only.
Good for Certain Uses
I've had 2 pairs of Ember Mocs and enjoy them for having a shoe to slip on to run to the car or hang around camp. I usually only use them with the back heel flipped down as it tends to give the shoe a bit more stability. When the back heel is upright, the shoe is extremely weird and uncomfortable - super flat below my feet and i could roll my ankle on a pebble (actually, I have with this shoe!). I don't think it would take much to add some support and make these worth their price tag. I'm a sucker for buying a second pair after losing my first because they are cute and comfy for just hanging around. They also repel the elements well so that's nice.
No arch support, no cushioning
Looking at these slippers, I hoped they would feel like walking on a cloud. I was disappointed to discover that the insole is poorly constructed - no arch support, no cushioning. I was looking for a comfy pair of slippers to kick about in, and these failed the test.
Almost but not quite
After much praise by other owners of these slippers, I was convinced that these, too, would be a great fit for me... but I was quickly proven wrong. Much like other reviewers had mentioned, these shoes lack the support and form that other outdoor slippers/slip-ons embody. Surprisingly, these also lacked the grip that visually looked to be adequate. The front of the toes were slick (just ask my nose and the ground, who were close to kissing on two slip incidents). I just don't think I would risk wearing these on wet surfaces around camp or within restroom facilities. I also wasn't fond of my feet hanging over either side of the shoe. I especially didn't like the lack of arch support. I'm sure some of you would argue that a sole insert would suffice, but messing with add-on accessories defeats the purpose of "slip-ons." I gave it two stars for the following: (1) aesthetics and (2) light weight quality.
Just wish they came in half sizes!
Fell in love with the mustard color online but once on your foot it's impossible to not feel like a duck. Returned for the Olive color and realized that while they were comfy, they was too much room at the toe and it felt like my foot was flopping around in them. I'm normally an 8.5 and after reading reviews that recommended sizing up I purchased a 9. Because the band around your foot is tighter, my feet couldn't actually slip out of them when walking, but they did feel too long. I went back to get an 8 and the band across the top of the foot was significantly tighter, but the fit inside the shoe felt better and easier to walk around in. I can see this getting uncomfortable after long periods of time or if you are wearing thicker socks. Ultimately I still went with an 8 and am trying to stretch out the opening of the shoe so it's not so tight across the top of my foot, but REALLY wish there were half sizes.
Cozy slippers
I had my eye on these shoes for a very long time, and finally got them last fall. I really love the back feature, and usually wear them with the back down for easy slip on and off. The one downfall of the back is that when it is up, it provides virtually no support. If you have it flipped up and want to wear it like a regular shoe, it slips pretty easily. I find that I can't really wear socks with it, or they will be pulled down. Regardless, they're really cozy, and perfect for slipping on to let the dogs out in the yard or to walk to get the paper. I use them for long driving trips a lot, too, because they're comfortable for extended wear. Just know that they are very slipper-like - people will comment that they aren't real shoes.
Instep is tight
As others have said, these are snug over the instep. Too snug for my high foot so back they went. Too bad, because they were comfy otherwise.
Going on my third pair!
I bought my first pair of these 4 years ago, and they're still around! Bought another pair two years ago to just be indoor slippers. And now figured why not add another color. I wear these absolutely everywhere and every person who borrows them from me, immediately wants their own. They're great for camping and keep your toes toasty, great to wear around the house, and great just to casually wear to the store.
