My dream jacket!
I finally purchased this after staring at it for over a year. I was nervous about sizing and fit, seeing as I couldn't try it on. I usually wear a size 8/10 top for shoulder and arm room. I could not decide if I wanted to buy a medium or large...but I went with a medium and was SO HAPPY I did. Fits great, even with a light sweater or long sleeve underneath. This pullover will fit under a vest or other jacket if necessary. The fact that it stretches is a huge plus...comfortable for moving around in. The color is great, and the fabric seems high quality. The pockets are also AMAZING. Big enough to actually hold things and keep your hands in.
Just get it
Love this! Very warm. Great additional layer that is rally warm and cozy.
Jacket looks dirty
I wanted to love this product. It fit nicely and was warm. But it arrived with what appears to be a coat of dust on it and feels like it has some sort of film on it. Very disappointed. Color is also different from what is shown on the website and is a much more muted yellow.
Too Long, but Lovely nonetheless
I really enjoy this pullover. Its weight and flexibility make it a perfect layering piece here in the PNW. My only gripe is that for me, the hemline is a solid 3" too long, hitting awkwardly an inch below my crotch and bunching up when I sit. Luckily, I am a good seamstress so I scalloped the bottom up two inches in front to four in the back. Now I love it and am, in fact, wearing it as I write this. I am 5'5" and 165, athletic and curvy, and for layering I ordered the XL for range of motion with a couple layers underneath.
Perfect Pullover
I love this coat! I had been looking for a down pullover for close to 2 years and am so glad I went with this one. The stretchiness of it makes it easy to take it on and off, the hood is comfy, love that the pockets have zippers and the arms are long enough!! Truly my dream coat. :) I ordered the small and am so glad I did. It has enough room to still fit a thicker sweater or sweatshirt under it and not feel too tight. I would highly recommend this jacket to anyone looking for a pullover.
Happily discovered it has a kangaroo pocket!
I already had the stretchdown hooded full zipper jacket but wanted an additional layer that I could wear at camp to keep me toasty. I was happily surprised when I discovered that this pullover includes an inside kangaroo pocket that would easily hold my nalgene water bottle filled with hot water! These coats are easy to machine wash and dry and have just the right amount of elastic in the cuffs to keep my arms warm but still be able to look at my watch without too much faffing about.
Great light weight jacket!
Disclaimer: I haven’t worn it out yet. I will update my review when I’ve had it for longer. Weight: The XS size weighed 340 g/ 12 oz. on my food scale. Sizing: I’m 5’3”. 115 lbs. 35” chest (32DD bra). 28” waist. 35” hips. I went with XS in black as that’s the only size and color they had available at the time (50% off sale). I’m normally a small. And if there had been more options I would have gone with a small. Especially since it’s a half zip pullover jacket. There’s also elastic binding at the hem which I felt made it a squeeze to get over my chest after having sized down. If you get your normal size you’ll probably be fine. Despite the squeeze, once it was on, it felt great. I didn’t feel restricted in movement at all. Layers: I had a lightweight 185 long sleeve wool base T shirt. And a mid weight 250 thermal wool knit hoodie underneath it. They’re pretty thin and warm. Both fit fine under the down jacket. Hood: I have very long hair and wrap it up in a bun and lots of times hoods won’t fit right over my head. This hood fit perfect even while wearing the wool hoodie underneath. Plenty of space for my hair and movement. And it felt very secure. Let’s hope it can handle strong winds! Pockets: 2 zippered side pockets. I was pleasantly surprised to find they were very roomy. Really love that! And another surprise!! No where in the description was there a mention of the internal kangaroo pocket, but as I was trying to shimmy my way out of the not-stretchy jacket, I accidentally got my arm stuck in the flap. Lol. It’s in the chest area right below where the half zipper ends. Length: Another reviewer said it was too long on her and that it caused bunching around the crotch when she sat, so I thought it would happen to me as well because I’m shorter with a short torso. I didn’t find that to be the case at all. It was a perfect length to cover the layers I had on. Logo: There’s a small screw/nut type logo on the back of the jacket. Not huge. But it might matter to some. I felt it was tasteful. Packable: I didn’t try fitting it into the left hand stow pocket. But I was able to quickly roll it up into the hood of the jacket. Super easy. Takeaway: Despite the slight squeeze into it, I’m going to keep the smaller size. I did feel comfortable wearing it and moving in it. I was able to layer underneath. I loved the fit of the hood and general feminine cut of the jacket. And can’t beat the sale price. I plan to test it out on Humphrey’s Peak in AZ at the end of September. Might be overkill but I despise the cold. I’ll keep y’all posted.
Warm, lightweight & understated
Love everything about this pullover. It's a perfect piece for top layering on cool days, or acting a another layer under a coat or jacket on colder days. AND it has a hood that actual fits my head and doesn't blow off in the wind! I love the mustard color but it may not be for everyone. Pretty sure it comes in a more "safe" color as well.
Another thumbs up for Mountain Hardware!
I'm in love with this jacket; extremely comfortable, light weight ratio to warmth is fantastic, stylish and functional on the slopes and in town. Great zip up to the chin. The jacket is more femininely shaped than the photo indicates and the photo does not do the palm mint color justice. Beautiful!
Awesome pullover
Have only worn it a couple times and am SO impressed. The blue slate colour is really unique, and i've already received multiple compliments while out and about. I am usually a S and went with a XS. Fits well over a baselayer.
