Found this on sale and so happy I did. I wore it at base camp at 11,000 feet, and when climbing to summit grand Teton. It kept me very warm. Pockets were adequate and had some wind resistance also. Very happy with my purchase
I received this jacket in the gorgeous gold color as a Christmas present. It’s the mid-weight down jacket I wanted and the slightly longer length will keep my hips warm without being too long and bulky. I love the stretch fabric and quilting pattern. Unfortunately the sleeves run very long on me ( and I have long arms for my height-I am never a “petite” size-I usually wear size 4 on the top and 2 on the bottom, I got a small coat.) I love the jacket but will probably return it for an XS, though I’m guessing that may be too tight through the bust. I’d love to keep it if I can figure out the sleeve issue…
Great fit, comfortable and with a double zipper! I’ve had it with one-way zippers on jackets, and they’re hard to find. This jacket is water resistant as well which is a big plus in my book.
This is a very nice jacket winter jacket. I ordered a 'Large' and it fits easily over layered clothing without adding a lot of bulk. It's very warm, as much warmth as I'll probably ever need for SE TN! It seems well made and I like the pocket arrangement. The zippered chest pocket is especially handy and the clips in the side pockets are a nice touch. Zippers and seams look good, work well and feel substantial. The collar keeps the wind but isn't too tight or loose. The color is really beautiful, too.
I bought two of these, one with the hood, and one without, because they were on sale. I thought because it said "800" that it would be really warm. I have been cold everytime I have worn it and it's only December. All the people saying it's warm are in warmer places than New England. This is a fall or spring weight jacket, and I already had one of those, so the second one is going back. The zipper seems to catch a lot as well.
I loved this jacket as soon as I tried it on. It somehow felt much cozier than the other runner-up jacket that was a higher down fill rating! Sometimes I wish it had a hood, but let's be real I wear this around the city a lot, too. FWIW I found the medium to be between REI brand sizes of M & L.
I love this coat. Fits perfectly and great weight for PNW days. I am 5’7”, 120# and wear the S
My rating is based on the Wild Oyster color. The down shows through the off-white color of the jacket giving it a strange grayish mottled appearance. I thought it looked like I had rolled in the dirt. Nothing like the picture. I exchanged it for black as I liked the style and fit. The small fits me perfectly - slim, but with room for a sweater. I am 5’4”, 110 lbs.
16 year old daughter says it’s very warm, she wore this and a base layer on some 5-mile winter hikes/snowshoe walks in the 20-30 degree range. Great quality and features.
This coat is SO warm. I’m in Kentucky from Georgia, and it’s been a nasty winter. I even sleep in this beauty.
