Received it yesterday and havenāt taken it off!! One of my favorite down coats of all time was a MHW from years ago. Not sure why I havenāt been back because Iāve been on a 5 year search for a great fitting down jacket that is good for TX winters and layers well for colder visits. This one is it! The fit is amazing.
This is a fabulous jacket! I highly recommend it. The design was well thought out and constructed.. The fabric is very classy looking, with somewhat of a mat finish and I like that is a durable nylon. It is very comfortable and stretches! An added bonus is the 2-way zipper, I think ALL zipped jackets should have a 2-way, it's so much more comfortable when you sit down. I am an active senior, 5'3", 140 lbs. The medium gives me enough room to layer a vest underneath. My only complaint is minor. It is a bit noisy, the fabric lightly crunches but this seems to be common with many down jackets.
The perfect jacket- Iām petite, 5ā1ā 110 lbs and this jacket fits me perfectly (xs) and the quality is top notch. Iāve gotten many compliments on the colorā¦So impressed with the fit and quality, I ordered the hooded version.
One and a half Winters in and I'm learning alot about this jacket. The advertised mobility is top notch. The textured fabric doesn't swish too noisily when I walk. The 700 fill down was the critical reason why I purchased this very lightweight jacket. Last winter was mild, this winter though, things aren't working out. I was good until temps dropped below 30 deg F. When the wind picks up, unfortunately, I feel it. Brrr...Seems the down fill is inconsistent. The shoulder areas are lacking the most. The lower sleeves are much puffier and insulating. Also, the single interior pocket is the only pocket that fits my bigger mobile phone. But having it there reduces my mobility, as it sits right at my waist. Bending forces the phone to dig into my ribcage. I guess, next year, I'll go for a +800 fill down with pocket options instead.
I am quite happy with the jacket. Wonderfully stretchy giving me ease of motion. Very well constructed and light weight. I have not worn it in wet conditions as of yet but it kept me warm in -6C with a wool sweater underneath. I am 5'4" 117pds 34/26/35. Size small while being very comfortable it is boxy and a bit big. Consider the fit you want.
excellent jacket. It is stretchy and so comfortable. Perfect for Washington winters. I am 5'5 and 150 lbs. I originally bought the large, but exchanged for a medium and it fits great. I cannot recommend the stretch down products enough. if you want extra room for sweater layers or for even colder winters, I would size up.
This jacket was a gift for my daughter. She is very definate on what makes a good jacket & it has to be perfect for her to like it. The stretch down jacket is her Goldilocks jacket. The fit, comfort & warmth in a non restrictive jacket that is never too hot is an win. You will never regret owning this jacket.
Love these jackets, I now have three. I'm usually a M but coats I size up for layering, L was perfect. The bright blue color is fantastic. Be careful in the dryer, because of how they're structured all the down will make its way to the ends of the sleeves if they aren't tucked in or in a mesh bag.
Light, roomy, and not sweaty. I had my windows down and put my arms out and felt no wind go through nor cold. Super comfortable and keeps you at your normal temp without overheating. Definitely an everyday down. Got size M and Iām 5ā3 and 160w, beautiful matte green color!
The fit and technical features of the jacket are great. I wish the color was more blue, it looks more grey blue, so not as flattering. It wears well as a jacket on its own, and will also fit well under a shell for skiing. I only gave it a 4 star due to the color.
