Warm but a small catch
These do keep my feet warm. The only problem I had was that the insole was solidly glued down so I had to insert my aftermarket insole on top of it. Still fit ok but made the arch of my insole more pronounced. Just a caution if you use your own insoles.
Narrow feet only
Not sure how they measured the size for these things, but do not buy these if you anything above standard/narrow width feet. The tongue of the slippers is incredibly cramped even when releasing the adjustment strap all the way, and even after getting my foot into the slipper, it pinches so much around my toes there's no way I can wear them. Sizing is definitely off for these slippers, especially where foot width is concerned.
Almost great with one big flaw
These slippers are almost great. They're warm and comfortable, roomy, and they have enough of an outsole that you could wear them outside in a pinch (or if you were car camping). They came out of the box with one fatal flaw, but it was easily corrected: the slipper doesn't have a tongue, it has two flaps that overlap to make a sort of cuff. To keep the inner flap aligned properly, there's a wide elastic strap that holds that cuff to the side of the sole. But it rides hard across the top of your foot and gets very uncomfortable. I considered returning these slippers because that elastic strap was so hard to live with, but instead I took a risk and just cut the elastic strap out of the inside. It doesn't have any impact on the shoe's ability to maintain shape. Really, removing the strap had zero impact on the functionality of the slipper. With those inner elastic straps removed, the slippers are wonderful.
Almost!!!
Size 13 feet need ample room. These were the answer to my dream for campground slippers... almost. I wanted a hard (enough) sole and easy on/off while keeping my feet/ankles warm. The problem is there is an inside elastic strap (in addition to the cinch in the photos) that is only for skinny feet. Way, way too tight. They seem to have good arch support and are well made. Just not for big feet.
Finally found my camp slipper
I've been searching for something like this for a long time. I've tried all the others but they were not right for me. These are perfect. They are easy to get on/off, but you'll need to pull the tab. I don't think you'd be able to slip your foot into them without holding the tab with your finger. Anyway, they are warm and very comfortable. the sole offers enough support to wear them around camp, which is what I really want them for. the upper feels like a strong ripstop material. The buckle is a nice addition to secure them if you'll be walking around much. They feel slightly short. I wear an 11 in pretty much everything, so that's what I ordered. My right toes barely touch the tip of the shoe; the left foot is fine. Normally I'd worry about it, but these are just slippers, and I was wearing fairly thick socks. I expect them to stretch a tiny bit as well. I like how they come up the ankle a little, which should add a touch of warmth. Anyway, I'm really happy with them. I'll be keeping them for sure. We are going to Sedona next week and it's been snowing all week. I look forward to seeing how warm and cozy these keep my feet.
Super warm and comfy
These are a super warm comfy slipper/camp shoe. Comfy enough for short walks, warm enough for sub-freezing temps, and tall enough that no socks are needed. The only "downside" is they're almost too warm - I'll need something with less insulation for shoulder season. But for winter, these are fantastic.
Comfortable for around the home
Good for around the house, and 7 outta 10 comfort level. Definitely helps to have the strap tightened
Good winter house shoes
I bought these slippers to wear around the house during the winter, and they are perfect for that. They fit a little more snugly than most slippers, which I like, but they still slip on and off easily when you loosen the buckle. They are warm, and the soles are sturdy enough for taking out the trash or walking to the mailbox. Very pleased with this purchase.
Very warm and comfortable
As mentioned in the WSJ, these are a pain to take on and off. Since I only wear them as slippers around the house, I cut the elastic straps. They now easily slip on and off. Not sure if you could do that if using them for an outdoor shoe. They are very warm and the sole has a great tread. I am very pleased with these. They look good too.
Super Slipper
The Chaco Ramble Puff is a superior slipper combining warmth, comfort and fit in an extraordinary package. To boot, these house/camp shoes are lightweight and great looking. I highly recommend the Chaco Ramble Puff!!!!
