Very pleased, not messy
I received this product for free from REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. I have been very pleased with this lube after using it in a variety of mostly wet and muddy conditions. The product is very easy to apply and its white color and thickness makes it easy to see so not too much is wasted or spilled. A single application last several long rides and it’s also easy to clean with most chain cleaners. I have applied it the night before riding so it’s always dry, but it seems that the recommended 10 min should work without any problem. I don’t see any downside to using this plant-based product over traditional oil-based products. A win win situation as this is being used outdoors and on the trails.
Fantastic biodegradable lube
I love that this lube is biodegradable. It applied easily to my clean chain thanks to the bottle design that allows you to control the tip opening. It’s such a simple thing, but honestly I loved it. Less product waste. It was easy to wipe off with a heavy duty paper towel. My chain ran smoothly on rides. It picked up slightly more dust than I would like, but I will definitely continue to use this lube.
A great product for eco-friendly people
As a vegetarian lifestyle, I greatly appreciate this product considering it's all natural and very effective on my bike. I use this product on my Trek mountain bike Marlin 6 and it works perfectly. For those of you out there who really care about the environment this is the product for you.
Excellent Product
Used it on my bike chain and it worked like a charm. Didn't notice any difference from any other oil based lubricant. Thats my favorite part of this product is that it is plant based. would recommend using it.
Should’ve used dry for the desert.
I ride in the Pacific Northwest, but on the dry side of the mountains, so I typically use dry chain lube, but got a bottle of this to try out. Went on thick and smooth, but got real caked and claggu pretty quick— probably my fault for mixing conditions. If you’re riding not in the desert you may have better luck.
Great Wet Lube
Great wet lube! I use it on my mountain bike and e-bike. I cleaned my chain before applying and it worked great. I like that it is environmentally friendly. If I spill some on my driveway I don’t have to worry.
Assembling a bike cleaning kit (lubrication)
The wet lube from mountainFLOW has medium density and is easily applicable. Because of its low viscosity, it will drip and excess should be wiped afterwards. I especially appreciate that the lube is plant-based and biodegradable. Strongly recommended for a starter bike cleaning/maintenance kit!
Smooth eco-friendly lube
I really liked this plant-based, biodegradable lube. It has a light scent and I appreciate that it’s from an American company. It was easy to apply, and immediately helped smooth out my ride - It helped my old GT feel new again :)

Works as intended. keeps my chain functioning properly. No odd or offputting smell. Applied before and after a muddy mountain ride and kept everything functioning as intended. No complaints from me.
