Birkenstock  Bend Sneakers - Women's

I bought these shoes directly from Birkenstock website, expecting the same quality as their sandals which purchased multiple times and love wearing them. The shoes, on the other hand, were nothing but a disappointment. If you expect a long lasting quality product, look elsewhere. Birkenstock failed the R&D when developing this product. I attached photos for all customers to be aware. When I approached the manufacturer for this obvious defect on their product, I was given the name and contact information of a repair shop to basically handle this on my own. There was no making right the issue. I wore these shoes no more than 10 times and they are no longer wearable. I do not recommend these shoes to anyone.

i loved these for about a month - wide toe box, trendy, so comfy, no need to break in. then, both heels started to detach where the little cork reveal detail is on the back. i tried to reglue them but unfortunately that material just crumbled and it’s fallen out. now when i walk, you can hear the heels flapping :( such a bummer!

I purchased these sneakers about 6 weeks prior to a trip to Japan to break them in and they performed very well! 20,000+ steps a day in Japan, worn with darn tough socks, temps in the 90’s the whole time and I had no problems with plantar fasciitis or foot pain on our 12 day trip!! They survived a downpour one evening and got soaked throughout-Dried them with a hairdryer the next morning and was good to go! Easy to slide on/off with laces tucked under the insole. Wiped clean easily. Would definitely buy again! I’m typically an 8 US women’s so I got size 39 and they were perfect right outta the box.

While these are comfortable, they do not last. 10 months into wearing these Monday - Friday the soles are wearing through. I'm disappointed such an expensive shoe couldn't last a whole year.

I was hesitant about getting them because of the reviews and even bought several other white sneakers for a trip to Europe, when the others didn’t work out I went for these because I’m a longtime Birkenstock wearer. I wore them for two weeks through Italy and absolutely love them! Great support, no squeak (I wore no show and ankle socks). Love the arch support and my feet were never sore! Plus super cute. I got a 41 which is what I wear in the Bostons, I wear a 40 in the mayari. Highly recommend

After wearing these sneakers for about ten times the left heel area starting making a loud crackling/ squeaking sound. It is coming from the inside of the heel area. The heels are also worn down unusually fast for any shoe much less Birkenstock. They are otherwise cute and very comfortable. What a shame that I can not wear a $155.00 shoes after a couple months of wear. I bought them at different store but want others to know about defective material.

The shape is as perfect as the comfort. I’m barefoot a lot and so now my toe box has reshaped and spread but these fit perfectly and adore them so much that I’ll be getting a couple more pairs. Slipping my feet in, I felt so much relief walking around the footwear section of REI that I knew immediately that I wasn’t leaving without them. I’ve worn them every day since and equate it to finding the perfect pair of jeans. Very supportive and cute.

The shoe needs a small break in period. Once broken in, it's much more comfortable, but not great. I bought them to replace an old pair of Ecco sneakers. I now wish I had returned them. They cause pain in my left leg (the injured leg). They are comfortable for standing in, but not great for walking. Perhaps as my injury heals, I'll give them another shot, but not good for now.

This shoe is comfortable and sturdy, perfect for long days on your feet. I purchased them for a two-week vacation in Europe, and both my back and feet were happy throughout the entire trip. I broke them in a couple of days before the trip since the sole was a bit hard initially. I've continued wearing them since returning because of how comfortable they are!

I bought a pair of these shoes in July 2023 and they’re still going strong! I resisted buying them because I felt like they looked funny, but when I finally tried them on they didn’t look boxy at all. They are the most comfortable casual sneaker I’ve ever owned and they fit really well in my usual size of Birkenstock. I get a lot of compliments on them. These have been my go-to sneaker for over 2 years now and the sole is just starting to smooth out to where I am thinking of buying a replacement pair with fresh treads. They are easy to clean and maintain and are perfect for traveling because they go with everything.
