Sizing Notes
Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements. Some women's pants are available in petite and tall sizes. Typically petite sizes fit women 4'11" to 5'3". Regular sizes fit women 5'4" to 5'8". Tall sizes fit women 5'9" to 5'11".
PETITE: Generally, as compared to regular sizes, petite sizes are 2.5 inches shorter in inseam, 1 inch shorter in body length, 1.25 inches shorter in sleeve length and ¾ inch shorter in total rise.
TALL: tall sizes are 3 inches longer in inseam, 2 inches longer in body length, 2.5 inches longer in sleeve length and 1.25 inches longer in total rise.
Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.
Inseam is measured to the floor.

Only for skinny girls
I am normally very comfortably a Large in almost every single article of REI clothing I've ever bought, and I've bought a lot. I ordered these in an XL because I don't mind the extra room, and I could not zip them up. They were okay around the hips but very tight around the midsection. It was even more disappointing to see that REI doesn't has almost no branded snowpants in plus sizes - only standard snowpants and only in black (I was hoping for a color). Going to try men's and hope the hips aren't too small. But pretty disheartening to say the least, to not be able to zip pants that are a size larger than I normally wear.
Good quality bibs for good price
I wore these while skiing in Colorado and I live in Minnesota. They have worked really well for skiing in snowy weather and general wear in temperatures ranging 10-30F with a base layer underneath. Can’t vouch for any lower temps yet but I haven’t been cold so far so I’m excited to wear them when it’s lower than 10F as well. I’m 5’5” and 135 lbs and the size small fits almost perfectly. I have muscular legs and they are tight in the thighs but don’t seem to restrict my movement too much so it has not been a huge issue, but it’s less than ideal. Love the pockets and the leg vents and the side zippers are extremely convenient so that you don’t have to completely take them off to use the restroom.
Great snow pants!
Great snow pants! I run a Nature preschool in Minnesota and we spend the entire 3.5 hours outside. I needed something waterproof and comfortable and these fit the need. They run a tad small so I’m happy I decided to try the 3xl. They are also a tad long. For reference I’m 5’9” and usually wear a size 22.
Great snow bibs
Worn first time in subfreezing temps for ice fishing, and they kept me warm and dry. Caveats: I was wearing two bottom layers, four top layers (including a heated vest) and boots with toe warmers and there was no wind, so I can't speak to their wind resistance. The insulation is there but thin, but this was fine with all the layers. The large fit snugly with all the layers but that's to be expected. Grateful for the snap stays at the top of the zippers, otherwise they'd slip open. The thigh vents are on the outer, not inner thighs, so not as impactful. 5'6", 36*29*42 and the large fits well. Legs a bit long on me, but not a problem if worn with skis or snowshoes.
Sizing not realistic
I ordered this product online because the price was reasonable, fair trade certified, and because I really wanted bibs! The quality is good, the side zippers are sturdy, nice stitching, etc. My qualm is with the sizing/design. The inseam length is almost too short and around the torso/abdomen, too snug on the verge of camel toe. Yikes. I wish the bibs were more accommodating for those who want a little more wiggle room for their belly and for the brew or two they enjoy after hitting the slopes. It also makes it harder to layer up with it being on the tight side. Most people are not square or rectangular from the hip bones up, so let’s have clothing and gear that reflects that!
True to size, warm, not built for excessive use :/
I bought these to wear for my lift operator job. I’ve probably now worn them less than 10 times at this point and the crotch has ripped out of my pants entirely. Pretty bummed. For the price and getting about a weeks worth of wear out of them, doesn’t seem worth it. Also, it’s not like a true black, more like a slate black. On the bright side, they’re pretty comfy. And the fact that you can just unzip the butt of it to use the bathroom is pretty nice. Definitely warm too! True to size, I’m 5’3, 275lbs. Long on me but that doesn’t bother me much.
Fit great!
After trying on several different pairs of bibs recently, these bibs were the best fitting of them all. No gap on the back, roomy enough over the butt and thighs but still flattering. The insulation is quite toasty just hanging out in them, so I'm sure on colder resort days these will be great. The quick release snaps are a great touch, and they have just the right amount of pockets. These seem like great no frills bibs, and I can't wait to try them out at the resort this winter and test their waterproofness. I hope they come in some fun colors and patterns. A little long for me, but that's pretty typical for ski pants and these should be fine with boots on. The belt loops are a little silly but don't hurt anything. I hope a lightweight touring version with full length zippers and no insulation is on the horizon!
Quality, no frills bib pant
This is a high quality ski bib that is on the minimalist side when it comes to features. The construction appears very solid and I expect these will last many seasons on the slopes. Pros: easily adjustable shoulder straps mean these should fit great with most torso lengths, they are very easy to get on and off with long zippers on both sides, insulation is lightweight but toasty warm, back panel to help keep the snow out, fully insulated pockets - including the kangaroo pocket on the chest! Cons: no vents (the side zips do have dual zippers that could be used to vent on the outer leg but there is no mesh protection), except for the back panel the fabric does not stretch, no way to adjust the pant legs to keep them from dragging, could use more pockets imo. Sizing: My measurements are 39” chest, 33” waist, 43” hips (I usually wear a US 10) and 29” inseam. I ordered a large and it fits loose but true to size. Since the material is not stretchy, the extra room allows for easy movement. The biggest flaw in these for me is the length of the pant. With my shorter inseam, barefoot I’ve got about 6” extra of length on the pant. Even with boots, they will drag significantly on me. I really wish there was a clip or tie to shorten them.
Perfect for the price!
I got these mid-winter and have used them for all kinds of skiing since, resort and touring. They are very well designed for the price, pretty waterproof, and the fit is small but I sized up and they were good. I am 5'4", 155#, 8-10 in pants with athletic legs, and got a large. I think the petite length would be better, but they were out of stock so I just roll the cuffs. I wish the vents were a bit bigger for touring, but can't complain at this price. And I agree with others-- please make more inclusive sizing!! There should be ski clothes for people that are bigger than ~size 12!
Athletic Thighs Rejoice!
I purchased SO MANY other brands, searching for a bib that would fit over my cycling thighs, and finally purchased REI's own brand. TBH, the material doesn't feel quite as nice as some of the others, but the fit was unmatched. Athletic women look no further, these are your pants! 140lbs, Size 8 or 29 and the medium fit perfectly. I had anticipated just taking off the straps to use the restroom, but ended up loving the side zippers instead. I wish they had inner thigh vents (with mesh), but it wasn't a deal breaker, and the side zips could be used for this purpose if you fall less often than I do. I'm a snowboarder (i.e. I sit in the snow frequently) and I finished the day with a dry booty!
