A morning favorite!

I’ve recently started hiking through local state parks and car camping after a hike or two in a day. Being limited on space in a car, not wanting to deal with camp stoves and pots and pans and the whole sort to have a decent breakfast and coffee in the morning, I invested in a JetBoil, a 5 gallon bottle of water with a battery operated spigot and some freeze dried meals as “easy options”. I am in love with Trailtopia’s oatmeal! The serving size, flavor and ease of cooking so early in the morning is a great way to heat ready for the day! The bonus is that I don’t need a plate or bowl and clean up is literally just sealing up the empty bag for my trash out! If I have to list a negative, I would say that I prefer some sugar with my oatmeal, but this is awesome as is, and you don’t need milk or anything more.

Plain Oatmeal

It was kind of plain. Apples where good. I think they forgot the sugar so something, but it did keep me full until lunch time.

Flavorless but good quality oatmeal. If you bring sugar or cinnamon might be good but there are better options.

Hearty and filling, but needs more cinnamon.

Hearty and filling, but needs more cinnamon. Definitely can taste the apple but is otherwise bland.

Great, if you love PLAIN instant oatmeal.

Yuck. I don't like the super sugary instant oatmeal packets you can get from the grocery store, and I was hoping these were not like those. They were the complete opposite extreme. Almost completely tasteless, like plain oatmeal. Save your money & skip.

Not so great

I really wanted to like this. First the positive. It has a lot of apple chunks, and is pretty filling for the serving size so that's good. Unfortunately, it has very little flavor and maybe a bit of a metallic taste.

Yummy camp oatmeal...meal

Super simple breakfast, just make sure to watch your level of water when it's going in, and wait the proper amount of time. Very good, and I know some of Trailtopia's stuff is not so good. This is the only one I buy.

Very tasty but light on calories

Great flavor but doesn't provide enough calories for a heavy morning of activities. But it tastes really good.

Tasteless

The oatmeal itself tastes so bland and boring that even extra apples and cinnamon do not help.
