I loved this chair for camping, beach, and everything in between. However, after awhile the leg broke on me.
I needed a chair that I could take with me on short 1 to 2 mile hikes, where I could create a sense of place spontaneously. After an iPhone beautiful spots, but there is no place to sit. Well problem solved. This chair is perfect. I strap it on my back and I’m able to also put a sandwich and a book in the exterior wrap pack, and I’m good to go. At 7 lbs this would not be a good chair for backpacking, but it certainly fine for my one to 2 mile walks. With the strap and the wrap pad I don’t take a backpack but the wrap is roomy enough to put a hood and a sandwich inside so I am good to go.
Wanted to love this chair but after only 4 uses the frame bent and now unusable. We received as a gift and because it was outside the one year warranty Kelty will not replace and they do not offer repairs. Now will end up in a landfill. My $15 Kroger chairs have outlasted it by years. Cannot recommend
I had 3 of them and they are all broken on crossbar rivet even the replacement one not that last
Great little chair. The real treasure it the bag, half tarp, half blanket, it comes in just as handy as the hair. We found it very effective as a picnic table pad, especially after a hard rain.
I'm very impressed by this product. The chair is comfortable and has a lot of features that make you wonder why others chairs don't include them. The massive cup holder fits even large nalgenes and hydro flasks and it has a movable divider that perfectly fits cans and smaller bottles which also leaves room for a phone or flashlight in the extra space. The arm rests have straps on the backs of them so they don't slide down over time like in other chairs. The padded bag it comes with is awesome and is great for a pad if the seat is wet, collecting sticks/firewood and anything else you can think of. My only gripe is that it's a touch shallow for taller people like me and it would be nice if the seat was just another inch or two deeper
I’m surprised this doesn’t have more reviews because I LOVE this chair. First of all, the color is beautiful. Second, the bag it comes with is awesome and doubles as a mat. It has a handle at the top for easy pick up. Inside the bag is a little pocket to place the feet so it doesn’t just fall out when you buckle the bag closed. Thirdly, it is so lightweight, low to the ground, and super easy to fold/unfold. Lastly, the cup holder is big enough that it can fit my 40 Oz Hydroflask! Couldnt have asked for a better chair.
These chairs are comfortable however they do not last. I purchased two of these chairs a year ago and they are already breaking. The vertical bars which holds the back support in place are both cracked and bending making the chairs nearly unusable. User weight is not a contributing factor we are all well under the weight capacity of the chairs. I contacted Kelty however they are unwilling to help since I am a few weeks outside of the 1 year warranty. I am frustrated to say the least that these chairs have not faired better especially considering the relatively gentle use. I will not be purchasing any more Kelty chairs.
I bought one of these chairs years ago and loved it, but bought another one a month ago and the fabric has already broken where the armrest connects to the frame. Seems like the manufacturing or quality control has declined.
Perfect height for me. The included dog mat is a plus. Very sturdy. I'm pushing 270lb and the chair holds up.
