Cute AND Comfy!?! This is it
we love these chairs!! if you are considering, do it. they are worth every penny! 1. they are aesthetically pleasing which never hurts. 2. they are easy to put on your back and walk with (and lightweight!) 3. love the retro style, and the cloth material allows for maximum comfort by contouring to your back shape (saying this as someone who has chronic back pain) - I can and do sit in this chair for hours. The only thing is (and wouldn't prevent me from buying again) is that the cloth is easy to snag, but you just need to snip the snag so it doesn't snag further.

Bummer
I have another one of these chairs that I bought last year and I love it so I bought a second a chair for my husband. I was a bit surprised with the condition it was delivered in. It appears as though someone obviously used it for their excursion and then returned it. The straps on the seat are a bit loose and there are imperfections all over. I’m fine with used gear but it’s disappointing to pay full price for a “new” chair. Not sure I want to waste my time and the resources in returning it

If only the securing clip worked

Best chair ever for my 80 year old parents. Both of my parents are on the shorter side and can't sit in a bag chair or hard plastic chair anymore. They are able to sit comfortably and then use the arms to steady themselves when they stand. My only complaint is the buckle to secure the chair closed, especially when carrying the table, just doesn't work.

Portable and very sturdy

I couldn’t be more pleased with these folding lawn chairs. Not only do they have backpack-like carrying straps, but they also have a handy cloth handle in the center. The chair is surprisingly sturdy and a bit heavy which is a pleasant surprise; not too heavy that you can’t carry it, but enough that it won’t blow over in a stiff wind. They’re comfortable with no webbing or frame that juts into your back or legs which some chairs can do after sitting in them for awhile. My husband is 250 lbs and the chairs support him just fine. This is one of the best purchases I have made at REI.

Great chairs!

We got these to bring with us camping and have loved these chairs so far. They are lightweight, super functional, and aesthetically pleasing. Our Aussie likes to be near us so a lower chair was a must. She even likes to try to take them over herself (a raised dog bed is next on the list I guess). The seat/back material is listed as polyester and looks/feels a lot like cotton. The frame is aluminum and the armrests are wood. The only thing that *might* become an issue is that the seat might sag over time? Too early to tell. We haven’t had the need to use the backpack feature so no comment there.

Great till a bushing broke

I bought two of these in fall of 2021. I kept them in the trunk of my car, at the ready for the park or beach. I loved the not-too-low-or-too-high height. The back was high enough to support my full back (I’m 5’4”), and I love a chair with armrests. The webbing broke-in to be more comfortable over time too. Then yesterday I found that one of the bushings cracked and broke off. I didn’t want to wait for the other one to break too, so back to the store they went (May 2022). We had a good run. I just ordered a teak-framed chair with no plastic parts.

Love this chair

I was looking for a chair to replace a classic lawn chair and found this upgrade. Super solid and well built. Low to the ground, but I like that. Backpacking straps are nice as well. Very aesthetically pleasing as well, love the wood armrests and the color is perfect.

Rock solid chair, comfortable for long term use

So I got this chair after sitting in one while at a store. Wasn't even planning on purchasing it, but the fact that it didn't move when I sat in it changed my mind. I had been looking at beach chairs for an upcoming vacation and was disappointed with the flimsy design and high cost of so many popular models. One of the issues I had with most chairs was the fact that they wiggle a lot, meaning that over time they will work themselves loose and eventually fall apart. This chair is like a rock. I'm 6'0" and 220lbs and when I sit in my chair it doesn't make a sound or move side to side or front to back. The design is comfortable, the straps are WAY heavier and sturdier than anything else I've seen on the market (and I've looked for months). The backpack straps are a plus, too. I will say I'm not a fan of the way the strap attaches that keeps it held closed, but I understand that this strap is designed in such a way that it will last longer than simple snaps, so I accept it. My wife spent four hours in it on the 4th of July and loved the comfort. I can honestly say that for the price you won't find a more comfortable, sturdy design and I fully expect to have this chair for several years to come.

Worth every penny

This chair is pleasant to sit on and to look at, and it's light to carry! When I went to the park today, all my friends wanted to take turn to sit on it. I'll recommend it to folks who want a lawn chair but don't want to sit too high off the ground so they can be close to their friends.

Comfy hangout chair

Sturdy chair with seatbelt like fabric. Love the low profile and armrests. My only complaint is that a few of the straps seem a little stretched out and causes an uneven sag in the seat. Surprising for a brand new chair, but I imagine it’s a one off and not standard across the board.
