I wore these on a 25 mile, 4-day backpack trip in the Cascades in WA state in July. Pros: Lightweight, fit well overall, cargo pockets are handy, dried very quickly, roll up option was nice Cons: Not as breathable as I expected, snaps for the roll up feature were weak and kept coming undone, extra tie inside the waist band was too stretchy to actually help hold the pants up after losing some weight on the trail. After only 4 days of backpacking, I already have 2 small holes from rubbing up against rocks on the trail. I think I'll keep these for spring/fall hiking or light backpacking, but won't use for summer or more serious backpacking again.
I love how these pants fit. But the Everglade color was not what was pictured. I was expecting a blue base color, and received basically green pants.
The best and only hiking pant I wear. Purchased grey/size 4, 5 years ago and still in reasonable shape - been on international trek, backpacking trips and many day hikes. Flattering. Still no tears or stains…. Love the perfect pockets, draw string for when weight and hunger fluctuates, I never roll up cause they stay cool enough.
Too bad --I liked everything about this pant - lightweight, comfortable fabric, side cargo pockets!, adjustable length and they fit great, except they are too low rise for me and not comfortable to sit in. I tried the 0 regular and they hit about 2 inches below my belly button; they fit my 26" waist 35" hips well, but not in the crotch! If I sized up I think everything else would have been too big.
Functional and cute hiking pants. I use them for backpacking and the buttons to cuff. The pants came in handy for a water crossing. The waist button didn’t really interfere with my backpacking belt like I thought it might. There’s a drawstring as well. They did snag a little bit, but I was warned about the very thorny trail and didn’t expect them to come out unscathed. Stretchy.
Love these pants! I wore them for fieldwork in Monteverde Costa Rica at the start of the wet season and they were super comfy, even without a belt. They leave ample room for your curves and aren’t baggy after a few hours of wear. They also dry quickly and I get compliments on them every time I wear them. Quite a fear for hiking pants! I hate it when hiking pants get baggy and snag on stuff, and these definitely have been great (no snags). They also dry quickly and are comfortable up into the 80s temp-wise. I also tried them rolled up for a hike in West Virginia and it was like 100 degrees out so I switched into cotton shorts. But for high temps up into the 80s I think they’d work.
I recently got these for an outdoor climbing trip and I looove them. I am very picky with climbing pants, I only have one style I wear from another brand but decided to give these a try and I'm so glad I did. I am tall and curvy in the hip/thigh area, and these fit SO well and didn't stretch out at all! I did have to go up one size fyi. I love that they are longer too, pants are always showing my ankles but not with these (I'm 5'7 for reference). Easy to wear leggings underneath too if it's cold out (which I had to do). I was worried about the low rise with my harness but it wasn't an issue at all. Highly recommend!
I love these pants, I really do. It's just that the center seam gives you the worst camel toe! I have never had this problem in any other clothing!! I love to wear these pants for hiking and was hoping these could be dual purpose pants for work (site visits, more casual office days), however there is no way I will wear these pants around clients and coworkers given the MASSIVE camel toe they produce. My next pair will be ordered another size up in the hopes this problem will be solved. The ability to tie the waist band will be helpful if they run too large in the waist.
I love these pants. I’ve worn them hiking Sequoia in winter weather, Zion, Joshua Tree, and I wear them all over the northeast where I live. I wear them around the house, dog walking, errands, zip lining, and as beach pants over shorts. They were my camp pants for a Saranac Islands trip- kayaking and camping. They’re lightweight, comfortable, and dry quickly. I don’t care for the fabric of many other brands of hiking pants (including Title Nine) , but these pants are amazing on all counts. At 5’11” & 170 lbs, I wear size 14. They run small so size up (I think it might be this brand.)
I love these pants! They are perfect for our camping trips and vanlife. They do run small. I sized up one size and they fit perfectly. I am typically a solid 8 or medium in almost ever pair of pants I buy, but Kuhl size 10 fit me like 8 normally does. Just an FYI if you’re buying online.
