I have to admit that I thought paying almost $90 for a pair of pants was a bit steep, but after wearing them during a few activities, I can’t wait to get another pair in a different color. They are super soft and allowed full range of motion when indoor rock climbing, yet didn’t pill up or snag during a desert hike and outdoor bouldering session. I have a hard time finding pants that fit well because my hips and thighs are on the fuller side compared to my waist, but the hidden draw string makes for a great fit. They also pack and wash well. These are my new favorites. Yes! I would recommend these to a friend Age: 48 5’6” 165lbs and curvy. Bought a size 12
Kühl hands down makes the best pants for women with thighs and booties. These pants are fantastic with the extra room for the butt and I don’t have to constantly hold my pants up every time I bend down. The material is soft and fairly durable. Although one of the dogs tore a small hole at the bottom of the pant with their claws, my other hiking pants not from Kühl go to shreds with lesser impacts. The pants are also not too tight across the top of the thighs and hips which make them super easy to hike in without feeling like you’re fighting against your own clothes to move. Absolutely love these pants and will buy another just so I don’t have to do laundry as much!
I bought these for hiking and geocaching. I love the snap side pockets to keep valuables safe. The pants are very comfortable and stylish whether rolled up or left long. There is just enough stretch to make them seem like they were made for me. I had the unfortunate experience of being blown over by a dust devil onto a pile of rocks which I then rolled down and there was NO damage to the pants. So the claim that they avoid abrasions seems to be spot on. I admit that the price is more than I usually spend, but I feel they are worth it. They also wash beautifully. They do seem to run a bit large~I bought 2 pair and both the size 2 and the size 4 fit very well.
My favorite pair of hiking pants. I wear them hiking and to work. Comfy and stretchy while still looking professional. Did snag them on a rock while climbing but the snag is small and hasn't gotten any worse in the wash.
I purchased this pant at a store in Jackson Hole and really liked them so when they were on sale at REI I grabbed another pair. I'm 5'3" and the short length is perfect; so many times short is too short and regular is too long, but these are great. They wash up really well and fit perfectly. They're a mid-weight so I wouldn't wear them in the middle of winter, probably more of a spring/fall pant if you're in an area that actually has seasons.
I’m a biologist so I needed something that would be easy to move around in but also were light enough to stay cool while working in the Southern California heat. I would not take these in the brush because I don’t think they are durable enough for that, but they work well for everything else. These pants are very comfortable, don’t get uncomfortable when I sweat, and seem to dry quickly. But there are a couple things I do not like about them. I am 5’3 so bought the 30” inseam. Which are too long. I have to roll them up twice so they don’t drag on the ground. And because they are too long, I cannot utilize the roll-up part of the pants because when rolled up they sit too low at my ankles. When rolled down, the buttons on the inside hit my ankles. Also, if I wear boots, they get caught up inside of the top of them, which is annoying. I would love to see a 28” inseam option. Also, at the least, deeper side pockets would be nice. Is it too much to ask for women’s pants to have useable pockets? Even with all that, I’d still buy another pair. I bought the coal color, which is great for almost anything. I look forward to getting a lot of use out of these pants, if they hold up as well as the splash roll-up pants.
KUHL needs to acknowledge that not all women are ‘tall’. In fact, most brands include petite sizing for women 5’2” and under. These pants are way too long. That said, I like the fabric and the style. Just wish they made them in 28” inseam or even 26”.
I own 4 pairs of these with 30" inseam. LOVED THEM. Wear them every day. Bought these so I'd have a pair for every day but they changed to cut and now they have a shorter crotch giving me horrible camel toe. So sad! Back to the drawing board!
Nice pants. I took a star off because their form-fitting cut made them feel more fashionable (not a bad thing) but less practical. I was trying to replace my out-of-stock REI brand hiking pants and these aren't quite as light and comfortable. Based on the size chart I got a size 12 and it hit my waist right but was a bit tight in the hips. If you're curvy these pants really contour the booty. I also don't like how I can feel the seams of the side pockets against my legs but it gets less noticeable after a while. Overall these pants look great but I'll stick with my old ones for long hikes.
These are the most comfortable pants I own! I recently wore these on vacation & they never wrinkled! The Koal color is really versatile. The style is sleek without being “skinny” or tight. I have a curvy figure and am really happy with the way these fit and the way they stretch without stretching out. I’m 5’9” and the 32” inseam provides enough length to look good at full length or rolled up.
