Great design but durability might be lacking
This is a great leash I got to go with the matching collar. I love that it has a D-ring near the handle for attaching a bag dispenser or clipping the leash to itself so I can sling it over my shoulder when my dog is able to go off-leash. Unfortunately the stitching on the side of the leash is already coming apart. I've had the leash less than a month, so I'm quite disappointed by this.
Great leash!
Great leash-it definitely makes it safer to walk your pup in the evening. I hang mine up by the handle on a hook to avoid crunching up the led leash, although this might not be necessary. For obvious reasons, there is no “give” in the leash so you really notice when the dog pulls-shouldn’t happen but mine tries to catch planes! Go figure! I love this leash! I got the collar round too. The lime green is the brightest I think. No complaints. Would buy another without hesitation.

We loved this leash at night when it worked. Unfortunately the rechargeable battery is fickle. The first leash only turned on while plugged in...defeats the purpose. They send a replacement with instructions not to leave plugged in too long. This leash worked great until the light started separating from the leash and curling up within a couple months of use Most comfortable handle of any leash we have tried. Sturdy product too except for the light and battery
A MUST HAVE !!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have two dogs that are super active. They love to walk early in the morning and late at night since it's colder than during the hot summer days. However, I live in a residential neighborhood where the outside lighting is minimal. My husband didn't like me to walk alone with the dogs since the cars couldn't really see us. That's where this leash comes in handy !!! It lites up so I see where i'm going and anyone can see us from a distance. It keeps me and my dogs safe. It's sturdy and very well made. It's long enough to be comfortable but not too long that my dog can wander around. It's rechargeable so it can be used again and again. Also, it would be great for camping !! I LOVE mine.
Too fragile; great concept
We loved this leash for a few months, but within a couple months, one of the fiber optic tubes broke inside the frame that provides the light, and significantly reduced its functionality. We have continued to use it, but it’s disappointing, as the leash was not inexpensive.
Bright to Broken
We received this lead as a gift. Loved this leash at first. Bright and very reflective, great for night walks with our dog. Quality turned out to be poor After a couple of months the light tubes pulled from the from the leash and it no longer works ;(
crazy bright and quality leash
I walk and run my dog early and we both have lighted harnesses and this just adds to our visibility. I wish it was 6ft vs 4ft but it's high quality, love that its rechargeable, padded loop, quality clasp/hardware.
Stopped working after 10 uses
We look after a neighbors dog, and used this leash less than a dozen times. It was never mishandled or beaten up, and it now barely lights up and only at the top and bottom
microUSB in 2026 - ugh
Great leash while in use, but seriously, it's 2026, why does this require a microUSB (which is not included btw)? This is my second one of these leashes and the microUSB was the failure point for the one I bought a couple years ago. I do like that it's a 5' FIVE foot leash because my dog doesn't trip on it. Light settings are on, flashing, or off and it's really bright. As with the nite ize collars, the green is notably brighter than the blue. It's a stiff, heavy leash which could be an issue for a small dog, however the handle is padded and not stiff because the lights stop before it. It can get dirty with mountain use but does seem to be waterproof. I didn't dock a star since I knew this in advance, but I wish it had reflective thread, piping, or strips. The leash is awesome in low/no light conditions, but not as effective in better lit (ie some urban) areas where it doesn't stand out enough to catch the attention of drivers.

This is the third leash I have bought and they are great. A must have if you walk your dog in the dark
