Minor glitches but overall great bike!
A very nice bike! I agree with the other reviewers who complained about the “instructions”. I had to go online and watch YouTube videos to figure out how to use it correctly. The included instructions were pathetic. Even so, it’s a wonderful bike and I’m really glad I bought it (now 3 months in). I had a minor technical glitch and the REI staff were excellent and very helpful. I later decided I’m a little too large for it as configured but I solved the problem by buying a new seat post that allowed me to move the seat back a couple inches. Problem solved. Works great! I love the bike.
great bike love to ride it
But the instructions were obviously written by a lawyer who had never ridden a bike. I now know how to put training wheels on my $4000 bike and that I should not swallow any metal parts. But anything specific to the bike is guesswork. Good thing there was a decal over the control pointing to the off/on button. Also the REI staff was very helpful in getting me going.
Great Bike
Great bike, very simple to operate, very good components, smooth ride. My only issue was the precision of the REI build at their shop. I had to reposition a few items that were somewhat carelessly installed and the rear light did not work until I reinstalled the wires. So in a nutshell, great bike but disappointing experience with REI.
questionable purchase
Bought this for my wife. Quality is just not what you expect from Cannondale or a $4,000+ bike. Front fork is just a piece of junk - I actually bought same bike for myself and returned it in 1 day because the fork was that bad, bought a Trek without front suspension. My wife is small, the frame is sized right for her but the dynamics of the bike make it too big. Too long and too heavy. Overall, it’s probably going back or Cannondale will replace the fork with a significant upgrade.
No instructions, not for beginners.
For a $4000 bike I expected a much better user experience. There are 100 pages of manuals but absolutely no instructions on how to charge the bike and use the motor and controller. Maybe everyone knows how ebikes work but this is my first and I am clueless on even something as basic as charging the battery. Very frustrating.
Love my ebike!
Great bike: I love blasting up hills in my neighborhood and keeping up with car traffic in roundabouts. It handles well on gravel and on dirt roads. Everything has working well so far 300 miles) except the kickstand snapped in half when a gust of wind knocked it over. We take our e-bikes on RV trips and while they’re a bit of a hassle putting on and off the rack each night, we loved having them along for the ride.
