Has become my favorite hunting knife

The blade is not long, but because of its shape there is plenty of edge. It holds an edge extremely well. The handle is easy to hold on to and does not slip wet or dry. I've had this knife for two and a half years know and used it on several elk and deer hunts. The shape of the blade is ideal and useful for any/all hunting needs. Both the knife and sheath are typical excellent Benchmade quality.

Excellent blade! Poor sheath design

This is a fantastic blade...lightweight...easy carry with steel that holds an edge processing a whole animal. Downside is the sheath. When I first received it I pulled the blade numerous times needing to clean up leather in the sheath. Once done I noticed that when pulling the blade from belt it easy cuts into the restraining strap leather. So moral of the story: super keen edge is a plus, having to really monitor the pull a negative.

Great backpacking/hunting knife

Great backpacking/hunting knife for anyone that is looking for a nice do-it-all fixed blade. I recently used this knife on my hunting trip, and it was everything that I wanted it to be. I have not sharpened it yet, but imagine that my worksharp sharpener will make quick work of it. I love Benchmade products and would highly recommend this one.

Benchmade makes some of the best knives you can buy on the shelf and this one is no different. Very sharp and holds a edge. It looks cool, and it works great for cleaning a deer.

Great little knife

Well made all purpose knife. Handle should be a bit longer but overall knife and sheath are top notch. Not in the way on you hip!

Great little knife!

Great smaller knife for backpacking and hiking. This knife keeps its edge and is lightweight enough for backpacking, but is more substantial that your usual multitool or folding knife.

Knife cut through sheath and sliced my leg!!!

I got this knife and immediately took it out of its sheath. My first impressions were that it is extremely well made, super sharp (as all Benchmade knives come), and looks great! When I resheathed it, it was not at a perfect angle, and it sliced clean through a portion of the leather. I didn't think much of it and planned to be more careful and superglue it. As I was riding my horse during that day, the stitching on the leather sheath came undone, and then I looked down after feeling something sharp hit my leg. The blade had sliced through the holster and nicked me. This is a true safety hazard, and after calling Benchmade support, they told me that they would send out a Kydex holster. I am still awaiting the holster but hopefully, it is much better! I am a bit worried that they will not improve the sheath, but there's only so much I can do. I love the knife, but the sheath is not up to Benchmade quality standards.
